The Manchester United Thread

He's got to feel disappointed that Lingard (one of the most hot & cold players I've came across), Rooney (a striker, with very little pace) and Ashley Young (wrong side of 30 and not getting any better) were basically confirmed as better options for his position on that left wing, almost half of those players Jose named aren't even natural out and out wingers. Bound to be a kick in the teeth of his ego deep down.

All the best with him though, have a feeling him and Lacazette could form something special together. If he rediscovers that spark and confidence he had with PSV, he could be absolutely devastating in France. And then who knows.... it could be a De Bruyne all over again. At least we have the buy back clause installed here ;)

Don't think it had anything to do with his attitude tbh. Just down the pecking order and the odd chance was given time on the pitch it didn't work out for him.
Never played in the right role. He was seen as some sort of 1v1 player when he was a wide forward in reality. He also struggle to get on the ball in Van Gaal's system.

The smart way forward.

Amazing how clubs haven't followed the Barcelona transfer model until recently.
Barcelona have an atrocious transfer model. Their squad has been trashed by Enrique. Given United recruit well, Messi/Suarez decline and United have the right coach, United could surpass Barcelona in 5 years.

I think the point I was making flew straight by you bro'.

Shame if he goes. But can understand. To good sat on our bench! Would be happy with Johnstone or Joel being number 2 though!

Boca manager Guillermo Barros Schelotto has admitted to speaking with Man Utd goalkeeper Sergio Romero over a potential move to the club

Honestly just f off darmian. A defensive right back playing as a defensive left back. How many times during the pool game, martial had 4 pool players on him and he didn't support him once? Modern football should just say f off to defensive fullbacks. Most useless players in football nowadays. Mourinho is so pragmatic man, you don't need a god **** defensive fullback, you're stifling your attacking wingers with having these type of players.

An update on AFCON if Ivory Coast fail to beat Morocco in the final group game then they will be knocked out of the competition and Bailly will be back

Not really. Darmian wasn't the problem it was the lack of ball to him and Pool cutting off our CM to supply him. He actually made some good crosses and one which led to a goal.

We have the same problem with Monreal. Avoid defensive fullbacks like the plague. They have huge tactical implications.

FFS refs not just **** at Prem level! Watching u18s vs Everton. A Everton player completely takes Chong out right through his ankle really nasty challenge! And nothing not a yellow let alone a red which it was all day long! Shame for Chong looks a bad one was down a while and had to be aided off the pitch, hope it's not his season over. Absolute mental!
