MANCHESTER UNITED ENTER DUTCH TOURNAMENT

Manchester United are entering the Terborg Tournament in the Netherlands in May.

The Reds will be sending a team for the Under-19 competition, although the rules also stipulate over-aged players are permitted.

The event is being held on 26, 27 and 28 May with Atletico Mineiro, Ajax Cape Town and De Graafschap among those whose participation has been confirmed.

United are also taking part in the Dallas Cup, in April, and Otten Cup, in August, as the club continue to embark on foreign trips to enhance the current crop of youngsters' experience.

 
Seen this a few places today. Would be a great buy with Griezmann to bolster our attack!



In the columns of 10 Sport, and Le Equipe, it is learned that Manchester United has an option on the transfer of Bernardo Silva, the Portuguese offensive medium of ASM, which is highly coveted on the European market.

Bernardo Silva, who belongs to the Jorge Mendes team, is one of the most coveted elements on the European market. A club would have already advanced particularly on its future transfer: Manchester United. José Mourinho appreciates the potential of Bernardo Silva, whom he knows perfectly.

MU has priority for Bernardo Silva?

According to our information, Manchester United has already laid the groundwork for the summer holiday. Indeed, the club Mancunien would have already taken an option on the future transfer of Bernardo Silva. Clearly, MU did not close the deal, but it would be possible to buy the young Portuguese at a certain price until a given date.

Yeah but after that we have nothing really. And all reports are saying Mourinho wants to add to attackers in the summer. Makes sense with Rooney, Young, Januzaj, Wilson most probably leaving and Memphis already gone. Maybe a bit of forward planning with Zlatan leaving next season, with Griezmann in mind and Rashford no where near ready to lead the line. Backs up our failed bid for Muller in the summer also as Mourinho tried to sign him and Kante after our other signings.

I just don't really get the Pogba vs Kante debate... have we lacked goals or conceding more this season? It's a lack of goals. Take Pogba out of this team and replace Kante, you have taken a lot of the creativity out of our midfield. See that pass to setup Ibra for the goal in our last game? Forget any of that.

I would of liked Kante, but over Pogba? No way on earth.
 
They are two totally different players, but our midfield would lack a lot without Pogba right now, the partnership he has formed with Ibra is deadly.

Spot on, our problems this season would be a lot worse without Pogba. Having Kante wouldn't of solved anything.

Maybe he's thinking the amount of dropped points you've had that's not budged you from 6th through a 16 game unbeaten run would of been converted into 1-0 wins with Kante protecting?

Or that at least Kante shows up the big games?

I can see valid cases for both. Shrugs.

1) I can't think of many occassions where we have conceded goals for opposing teams to ****** a draw. When it has been a draw it's been more because we haven't taken our chances and scored enough goals to put games to bed.

2) Pogba not turning up in big games is a myth, sure he's been mixed and had some bad performances. But I can think of Arsenal at home, where he dominated their midfield and was our best player in my eyes, well at least joint best.
 
It's a 'myth' as you can think of one game to disprove it. Genius.

But hey, your opinion on Pogba has flip flopped that much this year zz pretty much anything you say on him can be taken with a large pinch of salt so I won't bother even trying to debate it.
 
Kante is the best in the world at what he does, Pogba is one of the best in the world at what he does, but what Pogba brings is what we we've been crying out for; creativity, flair, and one of the most important things, probably something we haven't properly had since an in-prime Scholes, a runner from midfield, someone who can chip in with a double figure return each season.

Kante at this stage would be more of a want than a need.

Ander Herrera does a pretty similar job for us, not quite to the freakish levels of Kante, but to a high level.
