The Manchester United Thread

Yup, a lot of players have really grown on me.. after yesterdays game I don't want anyone to leave haha, so happy with everyone! :D ... still hoping for some new signings tho! :D

Ah, still buzzing after yesterday's performance. Couldn't fault a single player. Even fellaini looked great. Rashford was a whisker away from being my MOTM ahead of herrera. His best performance under Jose no doubt.

Completely theoretical and extremely unlikely situation, but if United won the EL, and Leicester somehow pulled off another fairytale and won the CL, would there be 6 English teams in the CL? Or would Leicester take the 4th placed spot?

I call fraud you computer genius yer! You've altered that screen shot. Admit it!

BTW, to answer the earlier question, 5 is the maximum a Country can have in the CL. In that scenario of Leicester winning the CL and Utd the Europa, the fourth place would be lost as the two qualification spots from the winners take priority.

Few rumours going round that Januzaj has been in talks with Fenerbache and could be completed and announced soon.

What would people's thoughts be on Serge Aurier at Utd. A few days ago a couple of British press were linking our interst and today French press are reporting he's been in talks with Utd and Mourinho and agreed a deal in principal. After rejecting a new contract from PSG. I know he's had troubles in the past, but he is quality no doubt and would be a perfect replacement for Tony V when he leaves. And would be a great option for the squad. He would also bring pace and power that Mourinho looks for in his back line. Could develop a very nice relationship with Bailly also. And should be a good price in today's market with his contract situation.

He'd be a good buy at the right price I think (assuming he doesn't come on a free), not seen him this year bar one game where he played CB, he did really well, not sure if he plays there often now though? Was always a right back every other time I've seen him

Shocked he don't play. Better than Mounier for me. Price mentioned 20m euros. Which would be a bargain in today's inflated market.

Potentially two players out of a back 4 going the AFCON every two years in January.

Sounds like fun.

Mourinho said that if Rooney has a good final training session he could be on the bench tomorrow as a usefull option. Also said regarding his fitness that he's not had serious problems, just small ones. That can't be helped at a certain age and body type.

Also said Romero will start tomorrow. But may not play all the Europa league games.
