Both those bans, plus the other investigations currently ongoing, are spurious at best down to the PL changing the rules during the process. It won't stop City in any way, shape or form from hoovering up kids. They have individual scouts at every level going right down and the incentives clubs like the two Manchester clubs and Chelsea offer are always going to be more tempting to poorer families. You can go through virtually every City team from aga 7/8 up and find at least one Liverpudlian kid in there who'll more than likely end up discarded before his first pro-contract and end up starting over semi-pro or the lower leagues if he's lucky Or just completely lost the game.

The whole system here is completely flawed.
I totally agree with you on the system being flawed. However, there is no incentive for the bigger clubs to change, they will always 'hoover up' the youngsters with the most perceived 'potential' . What is needed is for the clubs to take responsibility for those boys who don't reach the hoped for level either by assisting them to find clubs lower down the pyramid or alternative career options.

Does look smart but that speckled ***** from '90-'92 brings instantly to mind Peter Beardsley. :D.

Chances missed a plenty costing Utd dear. You're going full blown retro all ways round huh? :P.

Both Black and Red strips next season are the best ones we've had in a while imo. Maybe since we had that white black and gold in 06/07 with the AIG sponsor

got this horrible feeling in my gut, convinced we will deal with celta tonight but come the final ive got a funny feeling about it

Not worried about tonight. Celta were **** last week and **** at the weekend! All this resting players has seen them play worse. Resting players doesn't guarentee anything except no injuries. And Ajax are good and have a lot of young talent. But they've been inconsistent most the season. I fancy us to do both matches.

Second tie at home is always tricky, all it takes is one goal and you're at huge disadvantage.

It has come down to that EL semi game against Celta de Vigo can be so important game? Match to remember for decades.
after watching his interview on MUTV he clearly meant in our history during his tenure at the club. This really is a huge 2 games. Not just as it getting CL football. But could give this squad a huge boost like when Ronny and Rooney went on to win there first big trophy together in 2004 I think it was. And really give us some serious momentum going into the Summer and especially next season.

Vigo have been excellent away this year in Europe too. The two wins in Ukraine/ Russia in particular, the knock-outs. To go win that second leg in Donetsk, who were one of the favourites, 2-0 the first knock-out round after losing at home 1-0 shows these are no mugs at all.

They can't be as poor as last week again surely? But Utd certainly can be as profligate as they've shown all season. The reason why Vigo are still WELL in this tie.

Might have to look at the odds on Aspas scoring when I get home. :P.

You'd have to favour Utd but as it currently stands Vigo have every chance of an upset.

Hoping for something like this tonight! Really like Lingard and Rashford playing close to eachother, and with Mata and Mkhitaryan playmaking from the wings and Pogba/Herrera to dictate the game! Blind has been great actually at CB so should play tonight, he could also play LB with Smalling at CB.. but I don't think Smalling was good against Arsenal so I hope not.. :( Could also be Romero in goal, but I think they will shift now and Romero will get his chance in PL?

But anyways.. sad but true.. Fellaini will most likely start. :(

Think it will be Lingard over Mata on the wing. With Carrick or Fellaini in a 433 with Jose trying to control the game. Oh and Romero will defo start.

United subs
De Gea, Smalling, Jones, Carrick, Mata, Rooney, Martial.

18:48KEY EVENT
United XI
Romero, Valencia, Darmian, Bailly, Blind, Herrera, Fellaini, Pogba, Lingard, Mkhitaryan, Rashford.

Exactly the team I thought :)
