You have far more quality to allow him to layoff and not have to win it back again in 2 mins, as you can keep a ball. England cant. There are better options but for a minimal market fee, and HG player in the squad/team for a decade to go. He'd be fine (not brilliant but a necessity in squad building nowadays).

Came through Sporting's academy so doesn't count as home grown, making him an even worse option
 
Pogba + Mbappe tonight.. absolutely bonkers, I can only imagine how Rashford would play next to another Striker in a 442 for United..
 
They're a breath of fresh air. Another year of maturing with those pair, Pogba in the heart of it, and France are bound to be quite bullish on their 2018 Russia chances

Such great talent all through there squad atm. Not sure on the manager though.
 
Don't like him at all, no doubt he'll be starting Giroud up top, Sissoko in the side, while the likes of Mbappe, Martial, Lemar, Dembele etc will be sitting twiddling their thumbs on the bench.

He's a dinosaur manager, ironic considering he's managing the nation with by far the most exciting crop of youth in the world

My thoughts exactly. Anyways how much do you think we should get for Smalling? No less than 20m imo.

Still has a contract running until 2019, he's HG, still only 27, not like he hasn't got years of football left in him.. I'd say Mourinho would be looking to recoup at least 70% of the Lindelof fee with him. I'd say he'll go between £21-25M

21-25M for Smalling seriously? Just fob him off to West Brom and let Tony Pulis add to his collection of 6ft plus defenders.

In this modern transfer era? I'd imagine the total fee, with the usual add on's and such, would surpass £20m. We recouped almost £50m for Depay/Schneiderlin, I'm sure we can get similar money on Smalling.
 
I think it depends on if Smalling wants to leave, then we will get more for him but if Mou is the one who wants to get rid of Smalling then we'll get less I suppose?

We only got 8,3m euro for Evans
 
Think we will easy get 20m for Smalling! Especially with today's market. Length of contract, Age, Experience and things he's won. And England international.
