Camacho is a year younger than Matic, and doesnt pass anywhere near as well. Also he was pretty vital for Malaga, in what world would they sell him to us for less than £20m in the current fee climate? Weigl currently has a broken ankle and wont be fit till September.

Jose is looking for someone to control the base of a 4-3-3. Matic ticks all those boxes. No idea why being young is the most important factor in all this
 
totally agree with those saying matic would be a very good signing.we are lacking steel in midfield and jose knows how he operates.cant see anything wrong with this if it happens and 40 mill is a good price,hes got at least 5 years left in him
 
Good signing but not sure the need for both him and Fabinho, yes I realise the latter can be a utility player, but Mourinho openly doesn't like that.

Fabinho would play right back, he's certainly much better than Darmian there, and Valencia is 32
 
Seeing rumors that we are after Nainggolan as well. I know, it means nothing, but I will not stop dreaming...:D
 
I don't see how any Chelsea fan can be happy about losing Matic, say what you want about him but he has been the staple of Conte and Mourinho's midfield to winning 2 titles in the last 3 years.
 
Although I'd be lying if I said it got me excited, however it IS a signing we badly needed, would be perfect in front of the defence and give more freedom to those ahead such as Pogba.

I just hope we still get Fabinho and two attacking players that will add goals to this team.

Unless they have replacements in mind above and beyond the Monaco lad, I don't get why Chelsea would weaken their squad like that by selling him?

Not sure really, as Conte used him a lot last season, it's a mystery, that's why I never really believed it. Appears it is true though, either that or a massive smokescreen.
 
Lol so in the space of a few hours. You have Jackson saying he's gonna sign and terms agreed etc.To Law saying Matic is our 3rd choice DM. Then M.E.N Luckhurst saying Mourinho has no interest at all in Fabinho to Di Marzio and Bouhafsi saying we are in advanced talks with Fabinho and is a top priority looool

It does to me kind of feel like a plan B or C signing tbh... he's 29 ans we're paying £40m. I can't truly believe Mourinho's priority was ever Matic. If we get Fabinho as well it makes much more sense, if we just end up with Matic I'll be pretty disappointed.

They have to bringing someone else imo. Surely you would just keep matic and sign bakayoko.

I don't know why we don't go for Douglas Costa or even Willian from Chelsea, sure Willian has flirted with joining us in the past. Not going to be cheap but both great players on their day.

Although we really do need a signing that will bring us goals, can't rely on all our goals being solved from Morata coming.

Costa's output at Munich has been real poor for all the talent in that left foot.

And that's in a dominating, attacking Bayern side.

Yeh he hasn't been great this season but he has all the talent, a move might do him a world of good. Still one of the most talented in that area who may be on the market.
