He's unlucky we are stacked with quality/very good GKs at all levels. O Hara could leave also who is an Irish international at all youth levels. Also been around the first team. He's been offered a new contract will have to see if he excepts or leaves. Clubs also trying to get Dean Henderson who is a very good talent to not leave. Hope he doesn't and goes out on loan. Was great last year!

Be interesting to see who we target next for the LW wing position. If Perisic don't happen.
Don't need anyone, just the 2015/16 Martial back. Mourinho only wanted/wants Perisic as he's a Mourinho player, and unless there's another LW out there that ticks all the boxes like Perisic does for Jose, then I don't really see how it's a priority area. Just Mourinho trying to build a Mourinho team

Its obviously that he doesn't or can't trust Martial yet. So I'm sure there will have been other players given to Ed if this deal doesn't go through. Would be **** going into the season with the same attack as last season. But we really need players to step up and also start converting. A NATURAL winger is a must for me.
When Jose sorts out the DM area and defence with trust, which will take some, if not a good bit, of the defensive burden off the attackers, we'll see a big change. Think of the amount of chances we created (wasted) last season before we gradually became more conservative in the latter part of the season. Get more balance and steel into the side with lindelof, matic, Fabinho, maybe a LB, and let Martial, Mkhitaryan etc. run riot with less responsibility, with hopefully Morata scoring for fun
The only place I'm concerned about up front is Striker, because you can't ask Rashford to do it on his own. Outisde of that, its about reinforcing defensively, and getting existing players on the flanks to contribute more. I genuinely wouldn't be surprised if he moved on to James Rodriguez. Shore up the middle, it will increase the dynamism on the flanks

I just don't think our attacking options are that great or have much viarity it's all AMCs playing out wide or STR playing out wide. If we sign just Morata we will be short imo. Think Mourinho realised this hence why its always been talked about us signing 2 attacking players. But tbh no one knows who we are after without a doubt.
I do agree with a better balance in the lower third of the pitch the attackers should have more freedom. Think we should go for James Rodriguez.
You dont need wingers to have width. The full backs didnt really overlap last season. That needs to change
Thing is, our fullbacks are arguably the problem anyway, I mean I think most were expecting a LB at least to come in this window. If we go into next season with just the same options as last season I don't think that's good enough. Shaw can still be fantastic, but we can't rely on him as primary LB for next season IMO.

Oh I agree. But Valencia end product is hit and miss a lot even though I think his crossing was marginally better last season. And at LB the options aren't great if Shaw is out.
Its one of the reasons I would not mind Matic. Give the FBs more licence and CBs more protection when the GBs do push on to provide width.
Got to say I am concerned if we only add Morata to our attacking options, that's basically just replacing Zlatan. Isn't really solving our issues of needing more goals from other areas of the team, I can't see a miraculous change in fortune with the same players in relation to the problem we had of converting chances last season.
We at least needed a few attacking players this summer IMO, but Rodriguez wouldn't be the answer for me.

I think the players can defo improve and a fair bit. We all know what Martial can do he can easy get into double figures. Same for Mky his first season always tough. We have goals in the team no doubt. But I agree I don't think just Morata will do. Shame about Griezmann!

Have to admit a DM is top priority with STR. After that anything is a bonus! Plus thinking about it Periera should defo help with creativity.
If we're fighting on all fronts next season you need plenty of options, I wouldn't say we're stacked in any other than no.10's.
If Morata comes in who is the backup to him if he gets injured? Rashford? Then that means you have one less option to use on the flanks. It seems like we have a lot but in reality, they are a versatile bunch but if one or two get injured, you start seeing square pegs in round holes again for me. Which is part of the problem in itself. I don't like seeing players shifting into so many different positions, we need consistency.
