The Manchester United Thread

I question why we squibbled when in the end we're going to end up paying their demands anyway... they wanted 50m... so it's going to be around that anyway.

Still, a winger is a winger, I'll take him, even if we have surrendered to Inter at an unreasonable price. Still surprised he was our best option tbh.

few reports saying 48m with add ons inc. very happy with this signing if it happens!

Utd's pre-season games versus LA Galaxy, Real Salt Lake and Valerenga will be shown on BT Sport, for those who don't have MUTV.

Looks like Januzaj will be gone by the end of the week. Shame but he's wasted his chance/talent at Utd. Seems we will get a decent fee also.

English clubs still failed to realize that everybody knows just how much money they have.

Seen a few reports saying Zlatan could be back by October. And he's been impressed by how the club have looked after him and would sign a new deal till end of the season. #10 :)

More every little penny matters. Irrespective of how much you've actually got.

£5 million, for example, may seem nottin' in relation to the ridiculous money in today's game but it sure as heck is to a football club. You can bet your bottom dollar they'll be someone within that club charged with trying to save/ recoup that over the season through whatever means. So you have your valuation and try get the best deal for your club. Taking 3 or so weeks trying to negotiate the best deal for yourselves isn't a long time frame at all in top end deals.

Yeah, until someone swoops in and steals your target. Lately it's becomes obvious that people still try to negotiate extensively, but eventually end up paying premium anyways.

IF madrid move for DDG and are successful, how do feel about romero/pereira taking over?

I actually feel confident with S.Romero and happy with Pereira as competition, but I don't think / hope De Gea will leave this season :(

Unthinkable to have Romero as no.1.... he's a great backup keeper... but that's as far as it should go with him here.

He flaps at every cross, would be exposed in the Premier League, week in, week out. Don't even want to contemplate that thought.

Oh and for the love of god... why are we chasing Dier? He's the definition of average and hard to get.

Why we don't chase a realistic target for DM before it's too late and we don't get any I don't know.

DM is most important signing (could argue striker as well) this summer, if we don't get one, I think we're back to square one next season.

We haven't really improved anything so far, Lukaku replaces Zlatan, Lindelof replaces Jones (I hope).
