Lingard MOTM for me, absolutely outstanding imo.
First 25 mins poor and the whole 2nd half. :(

Gonna be a tough game against City in 2 days, not sure if they have played any friendlies yet?
 
Well that 2nd half was dreadful...hopefully i never get to see such tactics/formation used next season.

Rashford had little to no support at all, didn't like it at all.

First half was mostly poor, but Lukaku got support from the 3 attacking mids in Lingard, Mkhi and McTominay at least.

Fella, Pereira and Herrera only came deep and passed it sideways 2nd half, even before the red.. :/

But it's just pre-season!

Another thing is i don't like this DLP role of pereira's.

He'd be much better if he played further forward. The guy's crosses are mint.
 
Don't think it was the formation just the way the 3 CMs were deployed. And the second half was always gonna be **** after Tony V got sent off so early. Think first half was better slightly, but overall think the players looked a little jaded. Quick turn around and all that. Got the win and the most important thing more fitness. Lingard and Mkhy look fantastic though.

Can definately see why Mourinho wants Perisic last night. Once again all the wide players on show coming inside. Crowding the middle and making it easy to defend against. Hope this is done today. Hope against City we start seeing a more balanced team and something looking like a starting 11.

Exactly same problem as last season, worrying if we're signing signs of it again already.

Like I say, Lukaku won't solve much, just a Zlatan replacement. Where else are the goals coming from next season that we so badly lacked?

Wouldnt worry to much tbh. It's still pre season and mash up of teams in each half. The second half was just **** all round due to no balance and being down to 10 men most of it. The first half when we created the chances we scored.
 
No Griezmann and doesn't seem like Perisic is happening.. Wonder who's 3rd on that list. :'(
 
also a lot of talk about using martial in the perisc deal,telegraph the latest to claim tony could be off.guess we wont know til end of august for sure

Can't see Martial leaving tbh. Especially after Mourinho comments about him being needed to cover for the CF spot this season.

Nah I still #hope he ends up in United.. Just think we all and even Mou would like him in our pre-season.. :(

Also seems like it's only like about 5m missing for Inter to accept it, not sure what's taking so long.. maybe Inter wants a replacement before they sell. :/
 
If we lose Martial for Perisic I'm seriously done. What a shitass move that would be.
