It's interesting how the moud of certain positions at youth level with the big clubs is changing. For instance, centre backs no longer in the Terry mould but more in a midfielder skill set mould who are comfortable on the ball that they can teach defensive traits into.

To be fair Terry was as good as any centre half on the ball too. Both feet, good passer. Vidic & co. probably a better example, but I understand what you're saying - Pep has/is revolutionizing football.
 
The only thing Pep is revolutionising in football is how to make a defender be able to play with the ball (many managers were doing before him anyway) but be actual **** at defending. Not very revolutionary if you ask me.

I'll be shocked if City manage to win the league with the CB's they currently have, not good enough, if Kompany gets inevitably injured they are back to Stones and Otamendi again.

When Kompany gets injured he'll probably put Walker as CB in a back 3 and Sterling as RWB and Sane LWB. Revolutionary lol

If Aurier could cut out all the off the field stuff then I would like him but, he does seem to be a very disruptive person and if he doesn't end up starting then he could cause trouble. Also heard that he only has Ivorian citizenship and with his criminal record he might not get a work permit
 
Seeing as Bayern seem to pull off these long term loan-to-buy deals at good rates, would anybody like us to ask the same question to Bayern about Renato Sanchez? Similar to the James deal, 2 year loan with option to buy for say £35m?

I wouldnt mind taking a gamble on him for the right deal. I think he'd thrive in a midfield with Pogba and Herrera.
 
Tbf, I'd love too see Aurier at United. With Pogba and Lukaku, this trio would be basically World of Tanks.
 
does anyone else suspect that jose saying hes happy for only more signing is a smokescreen?
 
Definitely want Aurier, even if he is a bit of a **** off the pitch. Renato Sanches on a two-year loan with an option to buy would be awesome too.

Them dodgy loan deals seem to not apply to England. Don't think Aurier will get clearance into the country.
