The Manchester United Thread

He's a handy option to have against high pressing teams, or a plan B when you're all out for a goal, but it shouldn't be anything more than that

If he plays anything like the same number of games this season as he did last season barring some major injury issues I'd not be thrilled but useful as a squad option for sure

Could tell a mile off he was staying as he has got a lot of minutes in preseason. Expect him to play just as much as last season and us to be just as bad when he's on the pitch. Barring the odd game where he's useful.

More reports out of France tonight about Aurier after yesterday. Apparently we have agreed a deal with the player and Riola his agent. If he gets a good outcome of his trial on the 7th it will be announced. PSG said he can move for 20m euros.

Come on now. zz's hardly having a 'meltdown' over the Belgium thug in boots. He's had meltdowns on here. This is nothing like that.

Geez, if he can't have a different opinion without being deemed to be losing it, he may as well save himself the ridiculous grief and stop posting.

Hey. Its Mr Elbows get his name right.

Wow, just read Mou's presser when he was asked about Fellaini. Seems like the afro fella stay with us.

I still for the life of me, don't know why we're keeping Fellaini. We have a big lump now in Lukaku who we can hoof the ball up to if need be, so we don't need him for that. We have Matic coming in to our midfield who is just as physically imposing but much better in a footballing sense. So we don't need him for that. Carrick will be the cover option for Matic if he gets injured or whatever.

He won't be a good rotation option for Herrera or Pogba if they get injured because he doesn't have the footballing capability to cover either of their roles. We have players like Pereira, Tuanzebe, TFM etc. who I feel would all be better at covering positions like that. As well as Carrick who can be another good option for us in midfield.

I just don't get it... as a squad moving forward.. onto hopefully bigger and better things. Why keep a nearly 30 year old Fellaini, when he offers very little now? Our last chance to probably make half-decent money from him as well to recover our losses.

Knock me down all you want, but an opinion is an opinion. It's not a meltdown when I have just reason to be moaning.

Fellaini has played more preseason minutes than TFM, Tuanzebe, Mitchel and a host of others who we should be getting into the fringes of our first team now. Who all have a much better future ahead of them and potential to be stars, if Mourinho allows it, but it's looking unlikely.
