The Manchester United Thread

Zlatan and Lukaku, we just need someone who can cross the ball now! :P

If we get Perisic or another winger will be perfect window.

Would dominate the box with those two in a 3-5-2, probably won't happen but get a winger! :D

We've got plenty of crossers tbh. And we want to stay multi dimensional like we are now

Well we certainly didn't show it against Swansea considering how much space we had outwide to exploit for 80 mins! All of our players seemed hellbent on staying narrow and playing through the middle... whether that be due to their own devices or instructions. It was very odd, admittedly the fullbacks should exploit that somewhat, but never going to happen with Blind.

You wanted to win 4-0 differently?

Why?

L'pool/ Utd. In Moscow. At the same time. Going out the same planes. From the same airports.

Moscow's the single worst place to start with without worrying about running into Utd mooching round. Was always going to be on top with Spartak to start with. Booked the other two flight and train wise but seriously thinking of jibbing Moscow.

Lets be honest, that scoreline did flatter, not that I'm complaining but we need to make a note of how to improve even from games we win to develop into the future.

Our last 3 goals 80 mins onwards was more a result of Swansea going 4-4-2 and pushing higher up. If they had of stayed as they were probably would of remained a tight game up until full-time.

Again, I'm not trying to make that win sour or anything, but there was SO much space on the flanks we were not exploiting when only 1-0 up, it was almost odd. Take a look on MOTD highlights, it's so evident to see even there alone.

Swansea never presented a real threat because of how we played

It was mainly because Blind was not offering the overlap frequent enough for Rashford, which may have been instructions too - because as tidy and clever as Blind is, he has little to no recovery pace. We need Luke Shaw back ASAP. Need to match Valencia's end-to-end work rate on the left.

But with Blind as an attacking LWB, one misplaced pass in the final 3rd, a hoof up to Tammy Abraham (who was making every bit of the minimal service he got, stick), with Blind out of position/struggling to get back, who knows.. they maybe have caused harm.

So as much as I was crying out for him to support Rashford a lot more during the match, in hindsight, perhaps José wasn't too slow..... edit: unlike Blind :P

You cant behave yourselves like rugby or GAA fans do?

Away football fans are loud, boisterous, and often stupid. The same thing that makes them great in the away stands, often makes them morons near rival fans. And then you have the russian hooligans looking to fight any englishmen

You cant behave yourselves like rugby or GAA fans do? .....

Let's not be naive here. There's not much more a volatile mix than L'pool and Utd anywhere to start with. Without taking it to a foreign City with a bunch of brain-dead Russian groks into the mix. And Moscow is literally like another World. You're COMPLETELY on your own there as regards the authorities.

Personally speaking, if I were to do Spartak I guess going out the Sunday/ Monday would be a day or two before most Utd lads would travel and we'd be coming back the Wednesday the day Utd play. So there'd only be the Tuesday to really worry about. But other lads paths are gonna' cross somewhere along the line. That's just inevitable when you're going the same routes to the same place. It only takes one ******** .....

Ridiculous planning this from UEFA and the clubs. Not done anything on it as yet and feeling pretty uneasy about it.

Never underestimate the stupidity of drunk people in large groups.

Yet GAA and rugby fans can go to matches, drink all day and sit in mixed stands and just enjoy the sport?

IF I decide to go Spartak, could well do with Utd paying the Visa fee again to help out their lads.

Anything that shames L'pool into doing the same (which should be nottin' to them being as there won't be many going Moscow to start with) would be more than welcome.

From Mourinho Liecster presser-

Manchester United
@ManUtd

On @AnthonyMartial, Jose says: "I think, again, better. I want more & more from him because he has all the qualities for that." #MUFC

Manchester United
@ManUtd

"I know him well, he knows me well," says Jose, on @HenrikhMkh. "I believe with his talent that this season is going to be even better."

Manchester United
@ManUtd

Jose: "A player that gets injured with a Manchester United shirt, fighting for Manchester United, the club has to be there for him." #MUFC

Also said Zlatan won't play in the CL group stages. And Rojo will be back December. Everyone else fit for selection.

Like yers were there for Shaw, Jones and Smalling last year questioning the validity of their injuries and character?

Why don't the press pull managers when they come out with utter, contradictory *****?
