We'll see. Can't personally see Kane wanting to sign for Madrid at this stage without giving it a real good go at Tottenham with the new ground and all.

Regardless of what they might throw at him or 'Spurs.

*Edit* Might be reading him totally wrong, but I honestly don't think he's that arsed about his contract at Tottenham or he wouldn't have signed it. Just doesn't strike me as someone too bothered by money and it's everyone else making a big thing of Tottenham and their £100K P/W cap.

What will the new stadium bring though? Another bad year settling in? If they cant get up to play at Wembley then another year at another new ground you would expect to go the same way. I think the only thing holding Spurs back though is their starting 11. Sounds daft but who really would you get in, and who would you take out to make a difference? That team is that good together you wouldnt dare break it up regardless of the big name coming in. Maybe the full backs could be improved and probably will be especially if Rose goes but how do you improve the front 4 when they all play that well together? Pretty much like Liverpool at the moment. Could improve defence but what else? You wouldnt even swap Salah for Messi at the moment.
 
Dunno' He just kinda' strikes me like Shearer where possibly winning one trophy playing for his club would outweigh a slew somewhere else.

Honestly thought he was from a staunch 'Spurs family. Figured that was why he seemed so happy extending at what the media and everyone else thought was a pittance in relation to other top players at other big clubs.

I could be wrong. Just going off the pic that goes around of a young kid looking a lot like Kane in an Arsenal shirt and hair sprayed red celebrating them winning a trophy. Id say about 10ish so possibly an Arsenal league.
 
Kane should leave simply because his ambition of winning major trophies will never be realized at Tottenham.

Exactly I if he did come. He definitely wouldn’t stay and be another Fergie like some seem to think. He will stay for a few years then want a new challenge either at a top club in France, Germany, Spain.
 
We finished 5th in the league last season... the Europa league win overshadowed that.

We started in the league this season well... but not we've dropped to 3rd and we haven't even hit the new year. It wouldn't surprise me if we drop out of the top 4.

What exactly has Jose stabilised? Obvioiusly this second half of the season will count for something but if we are battling for top 4, which is what is going to happen, then there has been no league improvement under Jose at all.

He has had hundreds of millions and moans about not having more. He can't even get the most out of the players he has signed Mkkhiartyan *cough*.

There are a lot of players here who can do better, but they need the right manager.

Say it again, if Pep was here and Jose at City, we win the league this season.
 
Don't think Pep would win the league with our exact crop, or at least not run away with it. It's 50% transformed into a Jose squad. Likewise, I think Jose doesn't do half the job Pep is doing if he had that midget squad of City's lol

Guardiola would certainly be getting far more out of the players at Utd that's for sure and wouldn't be so reliant on Pogba. Complete house of cards when you build your team like that.

There just seems to be no work at all on the attacking movement/ formation from Mourinho. It's like just go out, break, and it'll take care of itself.

If you can’t see the improvement under Jose this season so far then that’s your hate/ disappointment in Jose affecting your judgment. Yes performances of LATE have been poor. But before that when we were scoring 4 gls a game and playing good football. You were saying different.

Were still having one of our best seasons in the league to this point than in years. And our best CL qualifying groups since Fergies last years. Yes he’s spent millions and should be doing better. But have a little perspective at the same time. It’s always one extreme to another with you.
 
IMO there is too many supporters of United wanting instant success and it to go just the way it was when Fergie was there as soon as Jose arrived, You need to look at the league positions since Fergie left and judge then and you can see it has improved.

The club had no spine in the team which is slowly being built which will then give the ability to build the rest of the team around and promote from within, People saying United would play better under Pep do we really think players such as Herrera, Fellaini, Mkhitaryan, Lingard and others could play the style and tempo that Pep expects ? because I don't think so, City have a number of game changing players who are world class and can rely on others when they have Injuries.
 
It's not even about the success. We won 2 trophies last season and i don't rule out shithousing a dark horse run in the CL or an FA cup triumph, it's just the lack of identity from the team when playing. We rely so heavily on Pogba to do everything it's insane, then like yesterday, we have him playing deeper which practically negates his effect. What's the point signing Ozil or Dybala or whatever when the 4231 limits our record transfer? What's the planning behind that, Jose? Just signing big names for the sake of buying big names. Also, its not even completely about the shape, all of the front players have been average in this structure/environment, and you have to ask yourself, would Martial have more goals and assists than Sane at City? I'd think so. Would Lukaku have more goals if at Spurs? Yes. Would Pogba be as effective if not outshine KDB at City? Why not. Would our attackers be more comfortable in a system that revolves around us being a proactive team, rather than a reactive one? Definitely. Mourinho needs the best attackers, he needs word class consistency in the final third, as he himself can't enhance attackers. He is a defensive, reactive manager, who can overpower smaller sides due to quality on the pitch, but it's all crosses or just letting the team do what they feel fit, theres no identity or method behind it. Which is fine if you have Ronaldo and co. from his Madrid days, or Hazard and Costa from Chelsea, but if he doesn't have this level of ruthless attack, he's fighting a losing battle.

Say what you like about Poch, he gets more from this attack, and as a result, probably more from the team as a whole

Defo need a formation change imo. 433 for me. Don’t get the identity thing personaly. Arsenal have an identity and there worse than us. Same goes for Spurs and Pool ATM! Jose deserves criticism and rightly so. But the players more so for me.

Fosu having a good game against Sane atm.
 
Identity is the key to sustainability, TOD. For what it's worth, it hasn't all been rosy; I myself was in the hype of us scoring 4 goals every other game, but it didn't reflect the game in a majority of them if you're honest with yourself.

Shithousing our way through most of the season with flattery results and overrated football, it's of no surprise to see it catch up with us lately.

Also, De Gea has had more saves to make than Courtois and Ederson combined (good quality chances too), so it's not like we're some top defensive unit that compensate our lack of fluidity/chance creating, which you'd normally associate with a Jose side.

Oh in no way I’m I saying we’ve been dominating or smashing teams with great footy. But we are easily creating enough chances to be winning games. We are just not being clinical enough.

Really need to get a settled back 4 ASAP which is hard with our injuries atm. A change of formation would help cure that also.
