The Manchester United Thread

On another note, TFM has been class. Kept Sane anonymous so far

Should recall if Valencia injury is serious
Been a few reports in there locals that we will pay the money to terminate the loan. And they want the loan space for an attacking player.

my six year old boy turned to me yesterday before the game and said dad,i dont like mourinho,we need a better manager dont we!kids are never wrong as we know haha

6 year-olds are super smart I can concur.

Brings to mind, a good few years back, Molby's testimonial. In the ground stupidly early with a mates 6 year-old and his little mates. Down the front the Kop watching the players kick-in. And one of the kids starts shouting 'Babb! Babb!' This went on a while before James came over and asks him if he wants him to get Phil Babb. Which he does. Babb comes running down, smiling, saying (paraphrasing) 'Alright little man. You want me to sign something?' To which Jack's lil' 6-year-old mate screams back ' Nah. Yuse are *****. Now F-off back to Coventry!' Which had James and Ruddock and co on the floor in hysterics.

TBF, the typically cheeky lil' Scouse kid with the 'colourful' vocabulary was dead right in his assessment of Phil Babb.

All I know is we're not as good defensively as a Jose team should be, and we're not as good in an attacking sense to win a league title. He's past his best before date, but not 'use by'.

His strategy for winning the league is getting increasingly outdated I feel. For him its all about smashing the smaller teams and playing for a 0-0 against the bigger teams. However, when you are competing against teams like City and Liverpool who are just going to go full throttle for 3 points every game, its tough especially when City at least are pulling it off.

Its a minor flaw admittedly but still one of the many others have already mentioned.

To add on to that, I am pretty sure his pressers where he constantly has a go at his players does not help. Its what broke him at both Madrid and Chelsea. He always tries and shifts the blame to referees and players creating a siege mentality. The act tires quickly especially when you are a proud institution like United.

Cheers lads! Thankfully nothing serious with Rom.

Defo. You don't F around with head injuries.

Brilliant that football has finally got in line with most other sports in taking oncussions seriously.

Disgraceful it took so long for players health to be prioritised.

This what makes our shiteness so annoying. Beat Leicester, Burnley and Southampton, and we are 9 behind a De Bruyneless City.

3 points from those matches is a f***ing disgrace.
Simply not good enough from the players and coaching staff.

Confirmed 3 game ban for Young after he accepted the charge. Valencia, Darmian, Young, Smalling, Bailly, Fellini, Carrick, Zlatan, Lukaku missing :(

Obviously a moronic thing for Young to do and he deserves his suspension.

But it's baffling to me that Barry was not retrospectively punished for the stamp he made on De Gea's foot a few weeks ago after a corner kick...

Not as clear-cut, but still nothing happened.

Just watching the palace game. **** TFM was an absolute beast. Forget just how rapid he is since not seeing him live for a while. Easily MOTM. Great positioning. Aggressive in the press. Bar 1 time Sane turned him inside out. Which he still got back to him any, he was flawless. And his distribution was top not also.

Always been a great talent and a big prospect. I just wish we had a manager who could really utilise him. I feel Mourinho will not let him shine due to not playing him enough.

Think Mourinho really rates him. But knows and was proven that his rawness in learning a new position it was better for him to go out on loan and develop. Which is being proven. Due to his ability he’s learning that new position quick and will benefit us going forward. Turning into a real top RB prospect to partner and eventually replace Tony V.
