The Manchester United Thread

How good has Lukaku been lately? Hold up, touch, passing, everything. Complete centre forward. Should've bagged an assist today, Sanchez should've rolled it into the empty net.
 
Everyone says this season has been better and in terms of performances it has. (If you discount majority of big games, which is still unacceptable by United standards at Anfield etc with the Mourinho mentality).

But we're still making some of the same old mistakes... why the f go with 4-2-3-1 again... can Mourinho not see Matic on his own in midfield while Pogba wanders here, there and everywhere.

If Chelsea win tonight, then we are only 3 points off being outside the top 4..... fine margins but this season could turn into a mess if we're not careful.

The formation wasn’t the problem yesterday! We beat them 4-1 playing the same formation earlier in the season. I agree we need to play 433 in the bigger games though.

Yesterday not so much, players not taking chances... again... frustrating.

Hope Mourinho gives them a kick up the **** because we need top 4 this season, if we fall outside that, it's a disaster.

Since that P poor excuse for an official J Moss Esq walked Mane City and changed not only the course of that game but quite possibly how the whole season has panned out from that point, there’s been a good few terrible high boot challenges that have gone completely unpunished from a number of clubs.

The inconsistency after they ridiculously made an example of Sadio to the tune of 3 games, to absolutely nottin’ the rest of the season has been nottin’ shy of a disgrace.

Very uncharacteristic of us yesterday especially Martial and Sanchez finishing. Still have no idea what Smalling was doing diving like that, the player was nowhere near touching him. Pogba needs to sort himself out IF he wasn’t injured.

Really need a better CB partnership than Jones and Smalling, we'll get torn a new one against better teams in CL with that.

Need Bailly back badly and where the **** has Lindelof gone? He was playing quite well and then suddenly seems to of fell off the radar totally.

That's Jones and Smalling making costly mistakes in two games now and one of them should of been dropped for Lindelof imo.

Yeah agree. Both good on there day. But have mistakes in them especially Smalling. Will see Lindelöf more in the Cup and CL it suits his style more atm. My preferred partnership would be Bailly and Jones or Rojo. Bailly and Rojo we’re fantastic together.

Dunno. Till date, Lindelof to me has only looked comfortable in a United shirt when he is part of a back 3. Although, that could have just been adjustment issues. We need Bailly back. We were dominating at defence with Bailly - Jones at the start of the season.

Conversely, one of the leagues top strikers made 6 tackles at Southampton yesterday to leave him joint second in that category over the weekends' games.

As seemed to be the general complaining (along with the continued lack of entertainment) from lads going home from Newcastle the radio last night (never seen anything the game), Utd players need to start grafting and putting it in for the shirt. Which starts with the top fella'.

He and Sanchez were the only grafters yesterday both putting in shifts.

Soz. Think wires got crossed with Lukaku. (Who FWIW was getting slammed the most along with Pogba and Martial. Different people having different views.).
