This seems like a great story so far, you've worked wonders with the players at your disposal! Connor Wickham should do great for you.

What tactic are you using as you're scoring a ton of goals. This story deserves a lot more comments than you've been getting.

By the way, what happened with your attempted loan signings of Lukaku and Verratti? No luck I'm guessing?

I've been using my own one: Total Pwnage (Barnet, 2009) lol couldn't think of a name. It is my best ever tactic so I dont want to upload it, or everyone will play it.

Lukaku is now a sub who has played 1 league game all season and as a sub! Aparently he is an important first player to the team.

Verratti had another bid made for him and he is now co-owned by Palermo. I can no longer loan bid for him ;(

I want to try and remake it on FM11 and I will release that if it works.

The new kit launch was a complete sucess, with the new trendy kits itboosted kit sales and we brought in alot of revenue.
Some of the footballers modelled the kits, and they are pictured on the side of Underhill.

With the lengthy season finally coming to an end. We were all geared up for the final few matches. It wqas a good season for me and I reached my 100th game in charge of Barnet F.C. We had some good celebrations after the match, with a win which secured us a playoff place! Yes Barnet F.C. had a chance of promotion! Plus we are so close to that automatic promotion place. We are second behind Southampton, but ahead of 3rd place by 11 points with 5 games to go. We need 6 points from 5 games. Can we achieve it?

The board have anounced my job as untouchable, and if we secure promotion, I will be the best manager in the history of the club, and to go from L2 to Championship would be a fantastic achievment.

With Southampton proberly out of reach, we had to secure second spot in the table.
We could do that if we beat Gillingham! They were already relegated but still didn't want to lose!
We had to travel all the way up to Gillingham in this thrilling encounter.

It started so fast. A flash of goals went by as Antonio German scored twice to give the side a 2-0 lead at the break. It included one wonder gal which would be a great way to secure promotion.
A goal on 19 mins and 45+4 for German.

It was a nice teamtalk for one, and I simply told them to go out there and win!
However the team didn't respond well letting in a goal after 53 mins. They were back in it!
But that all got cancelled out after Right-back Josh Rowling scored an own goal after 80 mins. 3-1!
We had a corner in the 87th minute. German took it and it looked like it was going in! However the goalie tipped it onto the bar! Unfortunatly for them in ricoched of there defender and went in! 4-1!
But Gillingham wern't finished as they clawed back a goal on 89 mins. Then Jackson scored on 90+1. it was a nervey ending but the sqad carried out their duties!

4-3 the final result!
Barnet F.C. were promoted again!

Getting into the Championship was one thing, but we still had a low fan base, and the smallest stadium in the league.
We have an estimated fan base of 12,000 and a stadium capacity of 5,000.
It's not very good and pundits expect us to drop right back down to League 1. If that ever did happen I think I might resign. I mean I have done so well at the club and I can't face relegation. We have virtually no money and are over our wage budget by £1,999 (Yes really) One pound more and we would be in serious debt.
I think I could get a job easy, and the board have said my job is "Untouchable" so if there is ever an issue I don't expect to be unemployed unless the club gets in serious debt.
In my opinion I think we need a new Chairman, but no one wants to take over relegation candidates. He'd have to inject a lot of money into the squad.

Anyway the club are very excited about the prospect playing big name teams. I think the only down point in my career is the cups. I lost in the first round of the League Cup. Second of Johnstone Paint, and Fourth Round in the FA Cup. That is no cup run for a Championship team.

There are no major competitions this summer, so there will be no scouting. I hope to bring in some new players but that is impossible with the current budgets. Only players on a free transfer. However more players will want to join and hopefully we can bring in some good youth!

I can look forward to my holiday now. I'm going to U.S.A for the first time in my life!

We were off to Florida for 2 weeks.
This was a different experience for me because loads of kids seemed to of recognised me. Probably from that program that takes the mick out of managers. They all wanted my autograph. I was quite funny.

We were flying with Virgin Atlantic in a Jumbo Jet!
I booked it in first class, and we got ushered upstairs. It was so nice. First class, Champagne, soft reclining seats, and a TV in front with an X BOX 360 built in. This was the life!

It's amazing how your life can change so much in 3 years.
I had never even heard any of this stuff before I took over Barnet F.C. a club fighting to keep their Professional status and remain in the Football League. Before we started they said to turn off all mobile phones and stuff. I did as told but I checked an Email first. It was from the Chairman, who simply wrote:

The FA are complaining about your lack of qualifications, and say you are not fit to be a manager. Your job is hanging on the line. For the time being, the FA have suspended all your manager duties until you can get a degree in mathmatics, english language, and Sport Science. You may trade one of these for the History of Sport.

"What's wrong honey?"

"Not much. Only my Job has just been suspended, until I can get 3 degrees! You know how bad I am at stuff like this, I may as well just quit!

After we got through a thorough security check, I went to get an English Paper to catch up on recent events. They only had The Daily Mail, or The Sun. I hate both of them, but I picked up The Daily Mail. I turned over to the sport section, and in big writing it said:

CREIGHTON GETS SUSPENDED FOR BEING TOO STUPID

Barnet F.C. manager Joshua Creighton has been suspended by the FA for not being qualified. He now needs to get 3 degrees, which could last at least 2-3 months.
Creighton is in disbelief, and Chairman Tony Kleanthous had to say this: I was unaware at the time... Turn to page 57 to read more


"Arrhhhhhhhh! why, just as things were getting good!

I bought the copy and left in disbelief. They were holding up a board with "Creighton" on it. We got in the taxi and I showed the article to my girlfriend.

I couldn't enjoy the holiday know knowing that my career was possibly over.
Lets face it. Im stupid. I dropped out of school at 16, and haven't returned since. My life turned out pretty good so far, with a fit girlfriend, and I have earned 200k whilst at the club. I could retire and live here for the rest of my life.
Maybe get a coaching job out here in the states.
Yes! It just hit me! The English FA have banned me from managing until I get my grades, however other countries might except me.

If I go to virtually any country and say I was managing at Championship level, I might get a first division club! Then if they are in Europe, Champions League!
But my dream is to manage in the Premier League, so I will have to find a way of getting my grades.

I grabbed my iPhone from my trouser pocket, and found another email.
This was again from the chairman:

On review of the time you have before the season starts, we went to the court case and appealed, saying that he will never pass that many exams in just 2 months. After a long time of negotiating, you only have to pass two A Levels to get your job back. For the time being, your assistant will take over the club while you are away.

If you've got 20 followers, I think that's plenty enough motivation to continue. I feel sorry for some of the authors on here that have barely 2 or 3. Story writing should be an enjoyable process. If you don't enjoy it and only do it for followers, then I would say 'what's the point'
