Stevenage tonight have beaten MK Dons 4-2 :) Another very good win under temporary player/manager Mark Roberts :D

John Deehan confirmed as Director of Football at Argyle to work with Fletch and the main aim of keeping Argyle in the Football League.

Also, Stevenage appoint Gary Smith as their manager.

SSN, they will pay 4% of the wages apparently.

wonder if he's at all decent now. We've been linked with him off and on for years!

Smith would sign before we play MK Dons on tueday wouldn't he !

Sigh. Another deflating defeat and the 10th on the road this season.

We didn't deserve to win, and I wish the goal come earlier, so we might get our arses in gear. 1 shot on target all match, 2 shots in total; Dissapointing and back in the relegation zone.

However, I'm up for this dog fight. We will have bad days like this, lets hope there is a big response next week against Southend. COYG

Mark McGhee has given us our first back to back wins since April 2009.

Happy and slightly depressed that we've been **** for that long!

Correct me if I am wrong but didnt Alan Smith used to be a striker at Leeds and Man Utd before becoming a central midfielder at Newcastle? If I am right I wonder what made him change his position.

He was versatile at Leeds but Fergie saw him as a replacement for Roy Keane. Never played well enough (and had a lot of injuries) to replace Keane so was sold to Newcastle. Continued being a defence midfield at Newcastle but was displaced in the team by Chioke

Pretty sure SAF wanted him as a striker, then he broke his leg, then was [re]trained as a MC.
