Just wondering after reading this:

BBC Sport - Portsmouth's parachute payments to go to Sacha Gaydamak

If worst comes to the worse, how would it affect the division overall? Would the number of relegation places remain the same? Not sure how it works if they can't fulfil the rest of the season

Edit: If Portsmouth can't fulfil fixtures, West Ham lose 6 points, Southampton 1 point + a game, Reading 0 points + a game, Blackpool 1 point.

Port Vale now hit with a winding up petition from HMRC.

This is beyond an absolute joke now.

Really feel for all these clubs. I'm just incredibly relieved we got taken over in the summer, as our previous chairman has now come out and admitted we would be in admin by now, and we may have had to sell the stadium. Basically we were on a descent to non league and eventually extinction. Thanks to the takeover we have a 90% chance of being in the championship next year and our finances are stable again. An extremely lucky break for us that not many clubs get unfortunately.

I just find the gulf between the EPL and the football league in terms of finances and aid from the FA astonishing. You've got teams finishing bottom of the EPL winning 10 million in prize money, while the whole of league 2 receives about a quarter of a million. It's as though the FA are interested in nothing more than maintaining the EPL gravy train and raking in the money from it, even though the whole arrangement is part of the reason why smaller clubs aren't coping.

It's just an absolute farce, ranging from club mismanagement up to FA not implementing guidelines that are strict enough regarding takeovers. It's an absolute mess and the gulf will simply widen. It'll get much worse before it even gets better

Settle for that

Good Luck to Dave Jones at Wednesday! Good time at Cardiff and provided many memories - good and bad - but at least he's finally off the payroll!

Also, Cardiff sign Liam Lawrence on loam until end of season

Seriously hope we get this new stadium. It looks so sexy!

Another managerial casualty. Andy Scott leaves Rotherham United

From today I shall be a part time Coventry/Doncaster fan.

The **** are going down! McWinless deserves s knighthood!

nobody seems to want to confirm a play off spot so, some how, we still have a chance. Need to win against Watford today though

Real chance missed for us but once again its not over. However our poor home form looks like we won't get the play offs

Best chant of the season:

"We play on the floor,
We play on the floooor,
We are West Ham United,
We play on the floor"

Best interview of the season

Sam Alardyce saying he doesn't remember the style of football West Ham play.

How many people get frustrated when their team play long ball all the time? As a West Ham fan its very frustrating, At the moment we don't deserve the Premier League, Alardyce needs to learn, if you don't win over the fans, you wont stay there long. No matter the situation next season, Premier League or not, I wouldn't keep him. His not the man to take us forward.

Biggest mistake we ever made was letting Alan Pardew go. I mean in our first season back in the Premier League he got us in the top 10 and to the FA Cup final which we were better team in. Since Pardew left, it went all down hill....then the Icelandics took over.............

Was you at the Boleyn today? I was and I was really shocking Reading went 2-1 up after west ham had dominated the first 42 minutes but from there it all went downhill for you. Maybe staying in the championship for another season could do WHU good and I believe at the start of the season Allardyce said he will resign if he does not get the club promoted this season.

Yeah, I was in the Dr Martins Stand (Well its actually called the Alpari Stand but I always remember it as the Dr Martins stand). We played well in the first and we should have scored at least 3. When Cole scored, I thought right we shouldn't get complacient. Our defending for the goals were poor. I left when Reading scored the 4th. I even heard they had a 5th disallowed, haha.

We are at our best when we pass & move. A style of play we played under Pardew and Zola. Watching us lately is a bit like watching us under Grant last season, the similarities are unbelievable. The worst game I've seen us play was Watford at Home.

Another season in the Championship would do us good. Alardyce would go and we can bring in a manager with a good style of Football. Long ball gets very boring.

Should never of sacked Zola 2 years ago tbh. Wouldn't mind seeing Di Canio get the job.

The conga today was brilliant see. Good win today. Barnsley were poor, mind.
