41/1 Shots Plymouth win the League! Whats the odds going to be next year?
Man city retain the Premiership.
Lots of player work to do over the summer.

Curtins Nelson looks like he'll be good enough for the next few season while Denzel Slager proved to be a great signing. Tyler Harvey was my surprise of the season. Started as back up.

End of Season awards
League 2 Player of the Year - Curtis Nelson
League 2 Manager of the year - Darran Donald

Like in League 2 the top 2 teams were level on points at the top and it was Bristol Citys goal difference that won them the title. There joined by the returning Yeovil. Crew, Chesterfield, Colchester & Crawley go down.

Season 2 Preview

2015/16

Pre Season
Peterborough and Preston loose heaps of players some to the Premiership.
We'll face our top scorer from last year Reuben Reid who's now at Bradford but i have got a more than perfect replacement.
Portsmouth spend a bit of money to build there squad for League 2.
We make some fruity additions of our own.

Targets

League 1 - Top Half Finish
Johnston's paint trophy - regional Finals
FA, League Cup - No expectations

Sylvan Ebanks-Blake - Att

This is my signing of the summer 2 wonderful seasons where he scored 21 goals leading the Plymouth team in the Championship. He's back now in league 1 to bring them back to the championship days!

Cristian Ceballos AM
View attachment 292441
Started at Barcelona's youth system then Spurs where he failed to develop. he turned down a loan here last season but more willing this season with no money from Spurs.

Rudy Mater DR

A upgrade at right back. One year wonder most likely.

4 Join on loan from Spurs. All should expect to get plenty action.

Out
Reuben Reid scored plenty least year but strikers in my system usually do and when i found his replacement i was happy to let him go. Carl McHugh was into the last year of his contract and was only going to be my 4th choice defender so great cash for someone in that position. Lewis Alessandra was injured so often last year i was just glad to see him leave. Lots of rubbish let go on a free.

Massive changes from last year. Only our player of the year Nelson & long term anchor Norris survive my best 11. The only way to tackle promotion is to quickly replace & rebuild

Our best month of the season. A cup final secured with a huge win over the best team in the league not for the 1st time. Coventry have a small hiccup after loosing Presley but all we care about is being back into the top 6.

We pick up another former Man Utd youth striker and sell 2 players. Mater became a squad player after a poor start while Brunt wasnt even making the bench. On deadline day we sold my fist signing Slager after a £550k bid from a top flight Dutch team

Hey! Nice to see somebody playing as Plymouth Argyle! I was born there and have followed them for the entirety of my life and having seen us crash down two divisions it's great to see you have them back on the cusp of Championship Football!

Great signings in Joshua King and McCabe, I'm also delighted to see Ebanks-Blake back at Home Park! Best of luck buddy. :)

February

We have a great run of easy games to move into the hunt for automatic promotion. 11 games to go and only 4 of them are against positional rivals. We have agreat chance.

Were well positioned in the play off spots 6 points clear of 7th but even more impressive is the 2 point gap to 2nd. We could consolidate our our shot at automatic promotion as we play 3rd place Barnsley next time out.

March

Plymouth have a perfect month to move up into a automatic promotion position
Second piece of silverware as we win the Johnsons's paint trophy by thrashing Crewe at Wembley.

We stepped up big time. At worst we'll be in the play offs but unlike last year when we were busy trying to throw away the title this year were roaring up on Sheffield United. If we win our game in hand the gap will be down to 5 points with 5 to go!

Johnstone's Paint Trophy Finals
Plymouth 4-0 Crewe
View attachment 290714
We pick up our 2nd trophy in 2 seasons with a rout over Crewe. We took the lead in the 8th minute and waltzed on from there. Now time to focus on the promotion race.

I keep on 2 of the defenders from this years class.

April

Two victorys at the end of the month secure back to back promotions and will be back in the championship.

Fixtures

Notts Co 1-1 Plymouth
King
Like last year we build some momentum i speak too soon and we drop points to a tam that look doomed.

Rotherham 1-5 Plymouth
Rideout
McCabe
Coulthirst
McEvory
Ok i take that back. What a way to answer your critics after loosing 3 key attacking players.

Plymouth 2-2 Bradford
Rowe
Ceballos
Had to fight from behind with a late goal from Ceballos to save a point. Even so a horrible day to drop points as Sheff Utd also drew and Walsall caught us both with a win

Plymouth 3-0 Portsmouth
Rowe
Norris
Blake
Top 3 all win, 2 games left!

Plymouth 2-0 Fleetwood
Ball
Rowe
PERFECT PROMOTION DAY Sheff Utd loose & Walsall only get a point thanks to a 90th minute equalizer which is not enough to stop our promotion.

League 1
View attachment 290630
Almost nothing between us. Were 1 point behind but are 10 goals ahead in goal difference. Sheff Utd have a trip to Port Vale who have nothing to play for down in 19th. We have a tougher game with a trip to Oldham who have top 10 home form.

Final Game

Sheffield United vs Plymouth for the title. United have led the way for the past few months but some very poor results in March & April let us close the gap right up so we go into the last game with a chance. If United loose we only need a draw but will clearly be going for a win after we won 11 of the last 14

Half time

Sheffield United 1-2 Port Vale
They have been slipping and sliding for the past month could they be about to land on there *** right at the end?

Oldham 0-0 Plymouth
Nervous 1st half as both sides had chances but poor finishing leaves it goalless but as it stands were winning the league.

Full Time

Sheffield United 4-2 Port Vale

What a signing Rhys McCabe turns out to be as he wins player of the year. Curtis Nelson didnt look as comfortable in League 1 but was still our best defender compared to Wes Brown who was a total waste of money. Young wingers Rowe & Chihi also did well in there 1st year. Up front was a problem for us with non of our strikers stepping up ad taking the position as there own.
