League Cup 1st Round
Leyton Orient 0 Bristol City 1 - Vieri( 60)
MOM - Vieri

An excellent cup tie against our feeder club. Leyton Orient can be very proud of the way they played. Vieri took his goal well and looked very lively for the 90 minutes for a 36 year old. We are pleased to be in the hat for the next round!

Coca Cola Championship
Bristol City 0 Crystal Palace 0
MOM - Louis Carey

A very hard fought game in which we had chances to win. Harewood hit the wood work a couple of times but we are happy with the clean sheet and another point. The captain was superb at the back.

Coca Cola Championship
Bristol City 2 QPR 2 - Clarkson (45) Hartley (pen67) - Quashie (27) Connolly (62)
MOM - Connolly

A great game but we are disappointed not to get 3 points. That is 2 home games and no wins so far and we really need to be winning home games if we are to be at the right end of the table.

Coca Cola Championship
Cardiff 0 Bristol City 2 - Harewood (74,89)

A great win over our rivals. Harewood was brilliant today and so was Maynard who never stopped working. A valuable 3 points on the road and if we can start winning at home we will be a force in this division.

A good home win and a performance to go with it. We are starting to get used to the new formation and are playing very well.

Coca Cola Championship
Bristol City 2 Middlesbrough 0 - Maynard (54) Elliott (60)
MOM - Maynard

A Our best performance of the season yet. We defended superbly in the first half then took our chances in the second. We have really hit the ground running and today we showed are class by beating a serious outfit.

The striker has scored 3 goals this month but it was his work rate that really got him this award. He looks like he will be a key player in our success this season

What a great month for myself and the club. We played 6 games and went unbeaten in them all. Our good run sees us sitting at the top of the Championship with 11 points from 5 games. We also progressed into the 3nd round of the League Cup where we will play Huddersfield. I am extremely proud of the lads and I hope we can carry our form into the next month.

September Update

A great match for us in what was a first v second clash at the top of the table. We totally dominated an showed great composure in front of goal and we are certainly big contenders this year.

The second game in a row we have come from behind! Great character again 2 down at half time and a 10 minute spell blew them away. We still remain unbeaten this season and we are playing beyond our own expectations.

League Cup 3rd Round
Huddersfield 1 Bristol City 4 - Novak (65) - Agyemang (30, 38, 90) Clarkson (58)

Great performance by some fringe player particularly Agyemang who hit a superb hat-rick. We are delighted to be in the next round where we have been given a Home game against Newcastle.

Another home win and strangely the third match in a row one of my players has hit a hat-rick :D Again we came from behind and Clarkson was superb! It is very nice to have strikers scoring goals!

The striker has been in great form this month. He has scored some very important goals for the team and his work rate is Tevez like. I hope he continues this form and keeps banging them in.

A great second month for the club! We won all of our games this month and still remain unbeaten for the season. We are in dreamland at the minute and we must do all we can to ensure we stay there. We are currently 5 points clear at the top of the league with Reading the chasers. The next game will tell us how far we have come as we our away to Newcastle in the first game of October.

What a result! We where using this game to see how far we have come and the answer is a long way. We played superb and really deserved to win. Everyone at the club can be proud of this result and the Robin faithful will be signing tonight :D

Coca Cola Championship
Bristol City 2 Plymouth 2 - Maynard (18) Barazite (54) - Johnston (67) Mackie (79)

Mackie stole two points from Bristol City

Coca Cola Championship
Bransley 1 Bristol City 1 - Hammil (29) - Skuse (16)
MOM - Skuse

Another draw put we played well in this game. Both fans will be going home content and a point a piece was a fair result. After two draws in a row we will have to bounce back with a win.

League Cup 4th Round
Bristol City 3 Newcastle 1 - Maynard (57) Harewood (78) Simpson O.G (89) - Ranger (22)
MOM - Harewood

Great Result! We have now beaten the best team in the division twice this month. We are through to the League Cup Quarter Final which is a great achievement.

Coca Cola Championship
Bristol City 3 Sheff Wed 0 - Maynard (31) De Laet (48, 54)
MOM - De Laet

Great to get back to winning ways in the league after two draws. This result still sees us remain unbeaten this year! Young De Laet caused all sorts of problems in th air for thier defense.

Again a good month and we played very well again in most matches. We are delighted to be playing Man Utd in the 1/4 Final of the League Cup. Our good form sees us go 9 points clear at the top of the table and we will look to push on and try and stay on top.We our all amazed that we still have not lost a match this year :D

flying mate, its almost a carbon copy of my story not losing any lol

November Update

Coca Cola Championship
Notts Forest 0 Bristol City 0
MOM - De Laet

Despite the scoreline was a very entertaining game with both teams creating good chances. De Laet was superb at the back and is really becoming a key member of the first team this season. Overall we are pleased with a good away point as every away point in this division is vital.

Coca Cola Championship
West Brom 2 Bristol City 2 - *** (10, pen81) - Maynard (18, 41)
MOM - Scott Carson

A great game at the Hawthorns. We had a lot of chances but failed to take them when the game was 2-1 and got punished late on by a *** penalty. However we are happy with a point we would have taken before the game. We must push on in our next home game after two draws in a row.

The striker was in deadly form this month scoring 4 goals in 3 games and for this reason he picks up the award. Maynard also picked up the FAs Player of the Month award.

Another solid month picking up 5 points out of 9 and still remaining unbeaten this season. Our 5 points see us sit 9 points clear at the top of the table which is a great achievement. Our focus now most switch to the League Cup Quarter final against giants Man Utd. We feel we our in good enough form to give them a real good game and will look to cause an upset.

December Update

League Cup Quarter Final
Bristol City 1 Man Utd 3 - Hartley (11) - Owen (29, 45+1, 58)
MOM - Owen

We gave it a good go and the Robins faithful where in dreamland when Hartley hit a screamer from 30 yards to give us the lead. However Owen rolled back the years and showed his class with a hat-rick to deny us. The game was one of the biggest Aston Gate has seen in years and my aim is to make these games a regular thing at the Gate. Overall a very proud night for the club and everyone associated can be pleased with the evening and the performance!

Coca Cola Championship
Bristol City 2 Ipswich 2 - Harewood (85) Elliott (90+3) McCombe S/O (19) - Healy (66) Parker (82)
MOM - Healy

I really thought our unbeaten record in the league had come to an end. After there 2nd goal went in I have to admit I had conceded defeat but my boys just keep proving me wrong and showed unbelievable character. In fairness we looked a bit flat after the cup game and it was only our fighting spirit got us a point.

Elliott

Coca Cola Championship
Leicester 0 Bristol 3 - Maynard (30) De Laet (34) Rodriguez (43)
MOM - De Laet

A great away display for the lads. Leicester where poor to be honest and I do not like saying this but it looks like they will go down. We must keep turning in these performances to achieve what we want!

Coca Cola Championship
Doncaster 1 Bristol City 3 - Shiels (32) - Maynard (31) Orr (58) Fontaine (90)
MOM - Fontaine

Another great away display and thats two in the the last 4 days. We are really hitting top stride at the minute and we amazingly remain unbeaten this season :O

Coca Cola Championship
Bristol City 3 Reading 2 - Harewood (45+2) Maynard (52) De Laet (89) - Long (47) Sigurdsson (83)
MOM - De Laet

Brilliant! A great hope win against promotion chasing Reading. De Laet was the hero again and even Sir Alex must be very impressed with what the young man is doing this season. We played well today and deserved the 3 points

The hero

Coca Cola Championship
QPR 1 Bristol City 4 - Ephraim (83) - De Laet (23) Clarkson (37) Harewood (45+1) Maynard (75)
MOM - De Laet

We are becoming away specialists as this is the 3rd superb away display in a row. Again De Laet was brilliant and he really is having a fairytale season. We just don't like losing any game at the minute and the buzz around the place is great.

Coca Cola Championship
Bristol City 2 Watford 0 - Maynard (15) Hartley (pen33)
MOM - Sergi

Solid home win to finish the month off. Sergi the young 16 year old starting his third senior game was brilliant today and really provided us with some creativity in the middle of the park. Roma and Juventus have both expressed their desire to sign the Spanish wonder kid.

Player Of The Month - Ritchie De Laet

The young defender on loan from Man Utd has been an inspired signing all season but recently I have run out of words to describe his performances. If he keeps these performances up Sir Alex will be looking him back.

What a month for the club. Bar the cup defeat to Utd it has nearly been a perfect month with some mind blowing performances. Its great to see youngster like Sergi breaking into the first team and putting in top draw performances. Our great form is rewarded with our league position which sees us sit 13 points clear of Sheff Utd. We now have gone 24 league games without a loss which would have been mind blowing to thing at the start of the season.

Not looking too bad atm, even if you are Bristol City :)

Keep hold of Maynard in the january transfer window; Good luck

Cheers guys the comments keep me motivated :D hopefully will have the next update l8r on today
