The month of February saw, Pumas record their first loss of the season. Although Mr Raymonde was said to be disappointed this record had come to an end, he stated that he could never have imagined getting anywhere near this at the start of the season. Mr Raymonde also added that the loss was the first game all season in which the team failed to score in, something which we did not pick up on, surprisingly seeing as this is a somewhat amazing statistic.

PUMAS WIN THE LEAGUE!
In Club de la Universidad's first season in Serie A, and first season as a "solo Mexican artist" they have stunned critics on all other Italian outfits by strolling their way to the title with a massive 6 games to spare!

---------- Post added at 07:07 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:53 PM ----------

AC: "Although you haven't looked back since the first game of the season, I was always waiting for the moment you would slip up. It hasn't happened and I am more than happy to apologise for my sincerity, what is the secret for your consistency and harmony?"
SR: "No secret just a bit of TLC and prime man management. My players are not just my employees, they are my friends and companions as is everyone in the squad. We all speak the same language, all have the same traditions and playing style, therefore that is a great formula for success. We may not have the stars of Inter or AC, yet we have a better spirit and want to win."
AC: "So although the season isn't actually over yet, can you tell us who you believe have been your key players this season?"
SR: "To be honest I would find it very hard to single anyone out, there have of course been the outstanding players statistically and obviously, the likes of Palacios, Vela and Guevara, yet such players as Pineda, Juarez and squad rotation members like Martin Bravo and Matias Vuoso have been just as critical."
AC: "How hard is going to be to continue this success into next year and what are your plans on recruitment for next season?"
SR: "Well I believe that the fashion in which we won the league with 6 games to spare proves what a huge force we can be in world football and I plan to capitalise on this year's success and further that next year. On the basis of bringing people in, it is too early to talk about really but I would find it very difficult to replace anyone in this team and if I do there will be major justification."

What an achievment ur a true great :P Well done and now for the champions league

Vela scoops Top Goalscorer award
Club de Futbol Universidad's Carlos Vela has won the Serie A Top Goalscorer award.

Vela has been the top striker in the Serie A this season scoring 21 goals.

Fiorentina's Alberto Gilardino came in second place with Mirko Vucinic of Roma in third but both some way off the eventual winner.

Team of the Year announced..

RB - Maicon (Inter)
LB - D.Santon (Inter)
CB - M.Palacios (Pumas)
CB - C.Zapata (Udinese)

LM - Ronaldinho (Milan)
CM - D.De Rossi (Roma)

Stan Raymonde, manager of Pumas, was asked at an interview last night for his Manager's vote for Player of the Year and he nominated Marco Antonio Palacios, who he calls the best player ever to not be capped for their country.

To be fair on the basis of this season if he doesn't go to the WC with Mexico it will be a travesty..

Raymonde takes Chile hotseat, after Bielsa is taken into critical care.
Marcelo Bielsa, Chile boss has been rushed to hospital said to have had a brain hemirage, and the emergency role has been awarded to Stan Raymonde of Pumas, said to be the most adaptable person available for the role. With the World Cup Finals in two weeks, Raymonde has been given absolutely no time to prepare a side. This is the squad he selected with the help of his backroom staff and previous knowledge.
Eduardo Lobos
Miguel Pinto
Claudio Bravo
Gonzalo Jara
Rafael Olarra
Pablon Contreras
Hans Martinez
Osvaldo Gonzalez
Jose Contreras
Mauricio Isla
Roberto Cereceda
Gonzale Fierro
Carlos Carmona
Claudio Maldonado
Arturo Vidal
Jorge Valdivia
Rodrigo Tello
Emilio Hernandez
Alexis Sanchez
Jean Beausejour
Matias Fernandez
Reinaldo Navia
Humberto Suazo

Raymonde has stated that he will not be attending any press conferences as a mark of respect to Bielsa, and has said that his efforts are all in his vein. The one remark he did want known is that the 3-4-3 system would be scrapped whilst he was in charge and his favoured 4-4-2 Diamond would be applied.

Buonanotte can't play because he was in a car crash, and the game programmed it in, same happened to me with Marlon King, except on mine I think (not 100%) it was programmed that he was sent to prison lol. Anyway really good story so far, a very good read.

Raymonde take's Chile to the Semi's.
Stand in Chile Manager Stan Raymonde, today made Chileans proud by taking them to the Semi Final's of the World Cup trophy. With an arguably pretty easy run, Raymonde did nothing to talk himself up and continued his ways of gelling and getting the best out of teams as a whole. No individuals stood out, yet the team all worked well together.

Unfortunately Chile were outclassed by Italy after an entertaining match and a scoreline of 5-2 which somewhat flattered Italy. Raymonde immediately stood down as Chile manager after the game and said he had enjoyed working with the players but wanted to concentrate on Pumas and hand Chile back to a recovering Bielsa.

The new Serie A season is fast approaching and whilst Pumas have been busy in the market, we took time out to talk to Stan Raymonde.
AC: "Stan! New season and I am glad to be back in this seat alongside you. So are you pleased with your business in the market as of today?"
SR: "Very pleased, I have bought in no Prima Donnas and some very talented youngsters who I hope to nourish into fine fine players for this club."
AC: "So, surely with all the additions, everyone is expecting you to repeat last years feats? How hard is that?"
SR: "My boss, the chairman, has set me the target of doing ourselves proud in the Champions League and showing the world what Mexican footballs about, and has said that any finish inside the top half will be another success. So those who assume we will just keep on winning are optimistic, looking at the strength of the other sides in this league. Don't get me wrong I would not put anything past this set of players but people cannot call it a foregone conclusion. I have a bigger squad to chose from which well hopefully be a positive but I have experienced before that too many players in a squad can cause disharmony and selection problems."

Raymonde also stated that all business in the transfer market had been done and that nothing else would be coming in or leaving.

Just discovered my best player can't play for the rest of the season!

Diego Bounanotte was in a bad car crash in real life and this has been implented into the game. This happens every single time you get to this point in the game I'm afraid, tragic in real life he was the only one to survive that was in the car.

Pumas started of their second season in Italy in winning style but not so emphatic as the first, especially with the 4 - 0 loss at home to Inter. Bar this Pumas still found themselves right at the top of the bunch after the first month.

28.8.2010
Pumas 3 - 1 Genoa
Scorers: Che Guevara, Carlos Vela, Edgar Ivan Pacheco

12.9.2010
Sampdoria 0 - 1 Pumas
Scorers:Giovani Dos Santos

Pumas 0 - Inter 4
Scorers:

22.9.2010

Ascoli 1 - 4 Pumas

Arsenal 3 - 1 Pumas
Scorers: Carlos Vela

28.9.2010
Pumas 5 - Benfica 2
Scorers: Edgar Ivan Pacheco, Carlos Vela(3), Juan Carlos Silva

SR: "I am pleased with our start to the season, as we could have quite easily fallen suspect to the expectation, and along with the added fixtures in the Champions League I believe we have coped very well. Vela is on sensational form and I am looking forward to another campaign."

I could continue, but have gone a season without updating and 10 games into another season, shame people weren't reading cos i thought it was quite good and sure.

please continue! and to back up diego buonanotte....

River Plate’s midfielder Diego Buonanotte has been involved in a fatal car crash after he lost control of his car on an Argentine freeway.
Buonanotte was taken to the hospital with multiple injuries while his three friends who were traveling with him in the car died at the scene of the crash.
The footballer was driving his father’s Peugeot 307 back from a night out when he veered off Autopista 65 and collided with a tree. The accident occurred about 15km outside Clementina, Santa Fe in the interior of Argentina.
The first official news on the accident was provided by Diego Rovea, Fire Department Chief of Clementina, who confirmed that there was only one car involved in the crash.
Another car carrying more friends of Buonanotte also arrived on the scene of the accident afterwards eager to find out what had happened. The footballer is said to have been conscious when he was pulled from the wreckage but had sustained serious injuries.
Eduardo Allegrini, director of the hospital where Buonanotte was taken after the crash, said “(Buonanotte) has fractured his right humerus, right clavicle and has bruised his right lung.” Allegrini clarified that the River player’s condition was stable but he remains in intensive care under observation.
Guillermo Fernández, a firefighter who helped pull Buonanotte from the crash site said, “Diego told us he lost control of the car.”
Tragic.
