1st January 2024
We followed our last game with a 1-1 draw against Bristol City. They scored first in the 72th minute and Patino equalized for us on the 87th. Forshaw missed a penalty on the 59th and could have cost us the result here.
We bounced back against Millwall at Loftus Road. Valera scored the first and Richards scored the second. The third was an own goal in a very confusing play in Millwall's box.
We were forced to play our second team on the next match but it still wasn't enough for us to lose against Plymouth. Jean Lucas, Rodrigo and Chair scored our goals.
With our first team on the field we had to rely on a penalty to beat Middlesbrough, scored by Richards on the 38th minute.
Unfortunately, our second team lost against Luton after Richards scored another penalty, 10m after they scored the second.
Richards then gave us the win against Sunderland in the first 12m of the game.
On the next game, we defeated Cardiff with 2 goals from Varela and another from Patino in a very good performance from our team.
The proximity between games got us again against Burnley. Our second team could only score 1 goal against the hat-trick of Maupay. Rodrigo scored our only goal this game.
Valera and Patino once again gave us the win against Preston when Valera scored in the 84th minute.
We then beat Stoke 2-1 with goals from Chair and Lameiras who gave us the win on the 87th minute on a penalty shot.
We then beat Cardiff 3-1 once again but this time on their home ground, with goals from Moya, Valera and Poveda.
Sheffield Wednesday almost gave us a hard time here when they scored the first goal of the match on the 71st minute. Fortunately for us, late goals from Valera in the 85th and Lameiras in the 88th gave us a disearved win.
The last game played was another win against Huddersfield on the 1st of January. Rodrigo scored the goal on the 54th minute.
League Table
We are still in the 1st place even after 2 long months filled with matches. We now have a 10 point lead and promotion seems more likely with every game we play. We just need to keep our good form on the second half of the season and we will be back in the Premier League.
November/December PotM
This time it wasn't so easy to pick a player who stood out. We had Richards, Lameiras, Valera, Patino and even Rodrigo who all were on top level. In the end, I chose Richards because he created a lot of chances for himself and for the others even if most didn't end up with a goal for the team.
Schedule
This next few months are not as crazy as the last few but we still have 10 games to play until March. After we get there we should be on an easier schedule because there are a lot less games to be played. Hopefully we are able to keep the good form.
Finances
Our finances reached the negative once again but I don't really want to sell anyone this transfer window. The only players I am willing to let go are Regan Poole and Paul Smyth since they both asked to leave.
I'm also not looking to strenghten any area in particular but if I see any good businesses I will go for them.
Youth Intake
We don't talk about this.
