Humm dunno mate, perhaps a bit more light, and moved a bit up. it's all a matter of taste

AND, this one you must do, make a white 2px stroke, and the, with the rectangular markee tool make a rectangle on the top of the sig, copy it, and place it in the bottom. must look ace.

Sorry mate I literally have no idea what your talking about, i searched "movie stroke" on google and deviantart but nothing came up. Thanks for trying to help though.

please criticise this, poor imo but thought i'd post anyway...
feel like it's missing text and the render sticks out like a sore thumb,
however. first sig in a while, go easy

Yeh pretty much what you said mate. I like it personally, The Eto'o render jumps out at you though. I do like it though :).

Really nice background but as you said the render needs to be blended in a bit, is that thing on his face part of the actual image or a texture you put on top?

tried using a darker render (this time of sneijder)
and i feel it works better this time

Try using a soft eraser around the dark parts of the kit to help blend it in a bit, looks good though.
 
Yeh Sneijder works far better. Nice work mate :) what backround is that, could you upload it if its no hassle mate :)?
 

See this is where I've got to with all my sigs recently. I get the render the way I like it, then I really struggle trying to add smart effects or new layers on top without changing the opacity. I'm becoming very frustrated at the lack of quality I produce in comparison to others. Any help would be great, Coach Carter has already been very helpful. :wub:
 
I'm trying without just now to see if I can make it be so bold it doesn't need it. But when I read tutorials I get confused as to how there textures look like they have no background at all where as mine does and I can't seem to match the tutorial :(.
