Yeah quite a few, not really follow them just pick up some techniques they used, and pretty much just practiced allot.

I'll be honest, I don't like it, seems like theres too much going on; the text doesn't fit and all together it just doesn't flow :/ looks a bit big though for a sig...

Very nice. The background change from left to right is a bit sudden though, I think. Perhaps you could add more of a gradient to it to blend it a bit better?

Absolute work of art. Without text looks a lot better, and I really like how simple it looks whilst beiing blended superbly. Badge is great too
