So I started a game as Real Madrid to see how well I can do with their superb squad and I have done well.

In the league I have won all of my 15 matches while scoring 43 goals and conceding just 4.

In ECC, I haven't been as succesful but still conceded only 2 in 6 games. The only reason I have'nt done well is because Ronaldo has scored only 1 goal in 6 games.

My best game was the Madrid derby in which Sergio Ramos was sent off on 35 minutes and I still won 5-1.

I also wanted to ask How can I increase the number of passes Xabi Alonso makes?

The 3 Attacking Mids have custom set high creativity and short passing.

Shouts: Retain Possession , Pass to Feet, Work Ball into Box (the usual)

Here's some screenies.

Well, I am also playing as United and Inter in my other saves plus the fact that the demo is only 6 months so I try not to get bored by starting new saves.

Can I ask something? How do you make a threads cause I just can't make some?

You can make him as a playmaker and his pass is short.

I think you have to have at least 25 posts or something before you can create threads.

Looks like you have a solid tactic there. You must have found just the right balance for your players.

Didn't know the 25 post regulation. And yeah while the tactic is solid my only regret will having to start the game over again when and if I get the full game.

Just drew my 16th game against Sevilla and this is what makes me mad.

Barcelona's squad is so wafer thin Just wanted to put it out there.

no offense mate, but man u, inter n real are dominant side, which i believe most tactic will be a success..
have u try with middle class teams..?

I had 11 shots on target and Sevilla had 1, yet we drew 1-1

None taken, but I think the tactical gods like Mr.Hough and JP woody are more suited and accomplished at making tactics for any teams.
I posted this tactic so that if someone doesn't want the hassle to make their own tactic for a good team they can use mine.

I have also tried 4-2-3-1 with Real Madrid and it works very well so far (not quite finished the demo with them yet). I have C Ronaldo, Ozil and Pedro Leon as AML/AMC/AMR behind Higuain with Ronaldo set as my target man (supply to feet). My plan was to find a tactic that is based around an inside forward winger, and so far it's working out (but obviously it's a shame to not use Di Maria more).

If you want Xabi Alonso to make more passes, you can set him as your team's playmaker and reduce the creative freedom/passing range/dribbling of his midfield partner. However, if you just want him to get more involved offensively, set him as defensive midfielder instead of deep lying playmaker. Manually increase his through balls and dribbling if you wish. Defensive midfielders by default are allowed more freedom and more runs than deep lying playmaker. DLP will just sit back very deep and in my experience, rarely score or get assists... but bear in mind this is still an important role for somebody to play, even if they don't manage to get on the scoresheet much.

I want Alonso to make more passes( he is the playmaker ) and his other Dm partner is an anchorman so I can't be more restrictive for that person. The main problem with my 3 man midfield tactics(tactics other than this one too) seems to be the number of passes made by my playmaker. The fullbacks make more passes in all of my tactics than my playmaker.

I haven't tried play through the middle cause the team was doing so well and I didn't want to disrupt the flow.

I scored 46 goals conceded 0 in my first 8 games as Madrid manager.. It's not difficult to win with them, I even let me idiot friend take charge where he played every player on the left hand side (he genuinely thought this was a good tactic) and still won 5-0. Try proving this tactic with a weaker team :)

Whilst agreeing that playing with Real Madrid is a walk in the park, I fail to see the purpose of these comments( not yours as such but in general). The OP clearly states, both in the Title and in his post, that this is a tactic for Real Madrid. He does not have to try it with Blackburn or Bolton. If he should have written "great tactic, that gets results", it would have been different though but as he has not...

As said, you are probably correct in that you could achieve great results with almost any stable tactic, you also have to remember that each and every year, threads are opened stating " I cant win with City, barca etc " so the thread does serve a puspose

i started a league with real madrid aswel, same formtation i found the best way to get xabi alonso to make the passes he does in real life was to play his as a deep lying playmaker and then tweak his instructions to the way u want him 2 play, also ronaldo in the right attacking position, set to inside foward then tweaked made him 19 goals in 14 games, struggled getting the striker to score tho

I just realised, this was the exact formation that I used with Real Madrid, but I retrained Ronaldo to be a striker and played two forwards instead of an AMC, scored 60 goals that season, although it looks like he's doing pretty well as it is. Also play Khedira over Diarra, he turns out to be a beast with game time but sitting on the bench for a year will just turn him in to an average squad player.
