I was talking with a friend who also plays fm the other day about how Alex Ferguson would do if he was reborn and started his journey of management in the 15/16 season......so I'm doing a test.

I remade the legend of a manager (you may not agree with his stats but they should grow over time to where he was at the end of his career) and have put him back to where he had his first manager job - East Stirlingshire.

View attachment 125964

and there he is, a young Alex Ferguson, high on discipline, low reputation in the game, favouring a 442 system and domestic based players. I have also included the clubs he managed as his favoured ones (to encourage him to go back there!)

Ok so lets see how he gets on!

15/16

His first season in charge was indeed a great success! He guided East Stirlingshire to a fourth place finish in League 2 after they were predicted to struggle and finish 8th.

His team took on Brechin from League 1 in the promotion play offs but were easily beaten on both legs!

They only made it to the 2nd round of the league cup and were beaten 3-0 by Annan who finished one place behind them in the league.

Over the season his training and mental stats have all increased, while his reputation has taken a nice boost!

I gave him 2 years on his contract here, as this was the length of time he stayed here in his previous "life"

Will he sign a new contract here or will he move on, time will tell!

Yeah, Denmark win the Euros! well done lads! (I've obviously messed the game up)

OK onto Sir Alex

He has had an interesting year! He was flying high with East Stirlingshire - upto 3rd in the table when struggling Brechin came in for him. He decided to go with the Recently relegated side who were bottom of league two. The last day of the season arrives, they are one point above the relegation zone - facing East Stirlingshire and they managed to get the win to keep them up!

What an end to the season he had! He has moved to a bigger club which is nice but was hoping he would have gone somewhere a bit bigger! never the less, next season should be an interesting one!

Another season of learning has brought his skills up a notch! surely some of the big boys will be watching this young manager!!

Sir Alex has moved clubs, leaving East Stirlingshire, moving half way up the country to a struggling Brechin, why did he do it?....it's revealed below!

View attachment 125957

He obviously looked at the squad and knew they could win the league, and they did! It may have only been a victory on goal difference but it's still a win! He gains his first accolade of a promotion and things should start getting more interesting now.

He spent a massive £0 on players this year, only bringing in 3 players so it must have been his charm (or anger) that pushed the team up the table!

He also got them to the 5th round of the league cup (one away from the quarter finals) only to be beaten narrowly by Dundee.

View attachment 125956

Due to this success he has gained more reputation and improved his managerial skills. Brechin Bosses must have been very impressed with his skills as they offered him a new deal worth almost twice as much!

Another season! another Major National Tournament....The 2018 World cup. the next tournament we can look forward to....or if you are English dread and watch in horror as we mess up again!

View attachment 125941

Italy are the winners here, England got out of the group stages which was nice, only to be beaten by Costa Rica...sounds familiar!

Onto Alex

Having Guided Brechin to promotion in the last season, he now is faced with a tougher league and another war chest filled with hot air. It's safe to say that this won't be the easiest season he has had....

View attachment 125940
No he smashes the competition gaining back to back promotions! he had to rely on loan signing and freebies again but managed to defy the odds.

View attachment 125939
Not much change but a little boost in reputation. The man keeps getting better and better and it would be amazing if he could keep the team up in this division as again I shall assume he won't get much money to spend!

It was a very interesting end to the season, they had been flying high but after crashing out of the league cup went on a run of 4 league defeats...however an angry pep talk must have spurned them back to life as they won 5 of their last 7 matches to get the title.

Bigger clubs must be taking notice now, but I think he is going to try and keep Brechin up before moving anywhere.

After the back to back promotions Brechin fans will be loving their relatively unknown manager Alex Ferguson. He has made a great team with his free signings and selling more tickets than ever.

This year....was not such a success.

View attachment 125892
They got relegated! Again he had nothing to spend and used the loan market as best he could but he couldn't save them! 2 points from safety but losing out in the first round of the relegation tournament! They managed less than a goal a game and were simply not good enough.

View attachment 125891

The man himself.

He has increased his stats in many areas, but has managed to lost determination...it started at 13 and I have only just noticed how far it's dropped (as it changed colour)

He was rewarded with a new contract at the beginning of the season and now makes £750 a week.

No plans so far to remove him, but they could do it before the new season...well let's see!

20/21 - 23/24

I have simmed forward 4 years to give a bigger update....the big news first of all!!!! Alex Ferguson is still at Brechin! he decided not to leave and has kept renewing his contract....maybe I put his loyalty too high!

First Season

Alex's first season after being relegated was not a successful one, he did steer them to a 3rd place finish, which was decent, but was knocked out of the first round of the promotion play off. He had a very strong start to the season but drifted off in January and never fully recovered.

View attachment 125871

Second Season

This season was worse than the last one, a 5th place finish was all he could achieve here and struggling to get any wins in the first 6 matches of the campaign. Knocked out of the 2nd round of the league cup summed up this season!

View attachment 125864

Third Season

Things started to get better in this year, but still no promotion, they finished in 3rd place and again beaten in the first round of the promotion play offs. For the 3rd season in a row the team made it to the 4th round of the Scottish cup before being knocked out by premiership opposition.

View attachment 125857

Fourth Season

It's happened at the fourth attempt! He gets promoted back into the Championship with Brechin. One point behind league champions Kilmarnock, they easily smashed the competition in the play offs to get back to where they belong! They were top until the last 3 games where they lost once and draw twice - Kilmarnock won all 3!

View attachment 125856

He still hasn't spent a penny on any players. All 61 players he has bought has been freebies or from the loan market, but it has worked for him (eventually)

View attachment 125855

The man himself has changed a lot since last time, reputation has been growing steadily but obviously not fast enough. His stats seem to be going up and down all the time! not really sure why but never mind!

Around the Globe

Celtic have dominated the Scottish Premiership....no one has come close!

PSG have been taken over as the top dogs in Ligue 1, Monaco have won the last 3 league titles and look a much stronger team.

Tottenham won the next Premier league title, with Man City and then Man Utd twice winning the title after. One shock is that West Ham have just been relegated....other than that the top 6/7 are what they are now!

Bayern Munchen have got back to winning ways in the Bundesliga- but the most recent season was won by Leverkusen again...I'm hoping they can get back to back wins.

Real Madrid have walked away with the league every year, Barcelona seem to struggle to keep up with them, and this season they ended up in 5th!

In Italy, AC Milan have won it twice, and Juventus and Roma have one title each.

Champions League.....in the last 4 years, Man u have won the competition twice, Juventus won it this year but Benfica also won it....They have been dominating Portugal as would be expected and have a very handy Defender Newgen (Which I will show later)

The Europa League has been won by 4 different teams, Monaco, Real Madrid, Chelsea and AC Milan!

I found some decent newgens.....had to share!

Both of these guys might be the reason why their teams are doing so well!

24/25

Alex Ferguson enters his 9th year as boss of Brechin, he has guided them up, then down then back up again into the Scottish Championship. It started off terribly, losing 9 our of the first 12 matches in all competitions. They were rock bottom and no one in the team were playing well.

He had no money again as was to be expected and the team were technically far behind the other teams in the league, only a legend could save them from relegation....

Luckily they had a legend as manager.....

Unfortunately other teams were taking notice of his skills...Raith were a team looking for a new manager, they had been sitting in 5th in the Championship when their boss was pinched by Ross County in the Premiership. They saw Mr Ferguson as the perfect replacement.

Just over 8 years at Brechin had to end, hello Raith!

View attachment 125761

Raith have been stuck in the Championship since the 09/10 season, they have come close to being promoted but never quite got there. One change for Alex is that he now has some money to spend....not much but a little bit, he made his first money transfer, spending £775 on a 17 newgen who looks....pretty ****!

View attachment 125760

Raith finish the season in fourth place, he didn't get a win for a few games but settled in well and got them into the promotion play offs, they were knocked out in the first round but atleast they tried!

Brechin were doomed as soon as Fergie walked out of the club.

View attachment 125759

He is looking like an amazing manager now! surely Man U will snap him up soon??

Alex Ferguson is now in charge of Raith for his first full season there. they have given him a bit of money to spend and throughout the season he spent almost 500k! much higher than he has before. 115k on this man....

View attachment 125720

Not a superstar but a decent signing for Raith.

This was a great start for Fergie, by the end of the January transfer window, they had only lost 4 times and were fighting Inverness for the title. February comes along and they let it slip, 7 points from 1st but comfortably in second.

Then History starts to repeat itself....

Aberdeen fire their manager after a poor run of results, and Sir Alex Ferguson was linked with the job. There wereno official reports that he met with representaties but it looks like he did.

He didn't take the job! He wanted to stick with Raith (or they went with a different manager, who knows!) and managed to guide them to second place, into the play offs and smashing their opponents in the final to gain promotion to the Premiership

FERGIE IS BACK IN THE SCOTTISH PREMIERSHIP

It's nice to get all the likes for this, so I'm assuming people are liking this weird idea.

If there is anything anyone wants to see let me know!

I'm enjoying this and look forward to seeing where it goes :)

26/27...........30/31

I have gone through 5 years this time to see what has happened.

We left Fergie a happy man, he has just guided Raith up to the Premiership and he has high hopes of keeping them there and establishing them as a dominant top flight side. They had a bit of money, but nothing to write home about.

The first season in the Premiership was always going to be tough, their side wasn't as strong as others and Fergie had kept an older experienced squad....but it seemed to go almost too well at the beginning, they didn't struggle and were picking up some good wins home and away.

The middle of the season was their downfall, 10 losses in a row in all competitions dropped morale to an all time low, luckily he had the motivational skills to turn it around, they got enough points to move up to 9th place and retain their premiership status.

The next 2 years went well, finishing 10th and 9th respectfully, the club had found their feet in the league well and looked to be staying there for years to come

But then, everything goes to pot. A horrible start to the 29/30 season with 10 losses in 13 league games, meant that they were rock bottom and really struggling, Fergie had been doing some questionable signings which had cost the club money and they were struggling for funds and unable to buy points.

A few victorires in December helped a bit but they were far behind the team in 11th, on the 30th of March 2030 a decision was made.

Fergie had been fired!!!!

21 losses in 31 games was not good enough, he knew it, the fans knew it, and the board got rid of the reborn legend. In fairness he should have been fired way before that but they gave him the chance to turn it around as he had brought success to the club.

Fergie is unemployed.....

It's been 18 months since Fergie was fired and he has not been able to get himself a new job....

Will he get a new job? or will he fade into obscurity?

(I really hope he doesn't retire or this will be over before it's really begun)

View attachment 125581
Surely he is too good to retire???? look at those stats!!!!

31/32

Nothing happened...stayed unemployed!

29/5/2032

Things got a bit more interesting. Having spent over two years on JSA he decided to look at managerial jobs! Scottish Football didn't appeal to him, she he looked around the English leagues to see who was available.

There were premier league jobs and Championship jobs going but he ignored those (porbably as he would be laughed off) and instead applied for the job at Luton Town.

AND he is finally back in football!!!!

32/33

Luton Town were a team on the decline when Fergie takes them over. In the 20/21 season they had managed to make their way up to the Championship after few successful years. They only managed one season there and have been yoyo-ing from League one to League 2 since.

The team has just been relegated when Fergie took overt and with 4 of the regular first team starters are loanees, and half of the squad wanting to leave after being relegated you knew it was going to be a tough job!

View attachment 125349

He smashes it!! Not only does he get them promoted by shrewdly navigating the loan market, he gets a title too!

33/34

surely this season will be a struggle, back into League one and again having to use the loan market to get players!!

View attachment 125348

The master of a double promotion is at it again, via the playoffs he manages to get Luton into the Championship on a loanee filled squad. The team looked destined to get an automatic spot but the last 3rd of the season was their downfall - 8 defeats in their last 12 games and they were lucky to even be in the playoffs!!

34/35

This season was filled with optimism. With Luton being back in a much higher league they had some money to spend. Fergie spent £3m revitalising his team for the season ahead he had all his targets and they were ready to go....but it didn't work out how he had planned.....

West Brom in the Premier League had just lost their manager, he was a former Irish player with 99 caps to his name (Tommie Hoban) he had dreamed of the Irish national job and when it came up her couldn't resist.

West Brom needed a manager...

Unfortunately they didn't want Fergie, they opted for MK Dons Manager - but that left their manager spot open, which Fergie jumped at!

Now earning £13.5k per week, a team who has been in the Championship for 15+ years, things are definitely on the up!

34/35

By the time he Joined MK Dons there was no time to change the squad around so he had to stick with what he had. Luckily the manager previous had done a decent job.

View attachment 125337

His first season at MK Dons has been mixed, he has survived relegation but I think he will be hoping for better things to come. The team were predicted to finish 12th and so a 16th place finish won't be what they were hoping for. His job status is still "stable" but if he doesn't start well next year it might not stay that way.....

35/36

This season was a bit of a bust....he only lasted until the 2nd of October before he was sacked for the second time in his career.

With only one win to MK Dons name he was quickly ousted and back on the dole.

The season has come to a close and no closer to a new job - will update when this changes!

(Sorry for a boring post but nothing of note happened!)
