Congratulations mate, Tromso are a very decent Norwegian side. Good luck in the next round!

Would be great to see Welsh football become a powerhouse in the future.

Yeah they are a decent side, so still cant believe we managed to knock them out.

Hopefully in a couple of seasons time, Carmarthen Town will be a household name across Europe! haha

Exactly - we weren't expected to get past the 1st round, so this has definitely been a massive success already. The financial gain has also been massive for us.

Europa League Qualifying Round 2

Unfortunately the dream has ended this year as Sarajevo knock us out of the Europa Qualifying. Luck didn't appear to be on our side as we conceded 2 own goals across the 2 legs, but I really cant fault our performances. We had the majority of possession in both legs but failed to create chances in the final 3rd. We can hold our heads high and will be looking to go one step further next season!

Reaching the 2nd round of qualifying has brought in a substantial amount of money to the club. I will be looking to ask to turn Pro again, as soon as the option becomes available.

TNS have also been knocked out of the Champions League qualifier, which means all Welsh sides are now out of Europe. Oh well.

Cracking result against tromso! Extra £140k should help work wonders for this season!
Thanks mate! I received just under 300k in total for my European crusade, which is massive when you consider the total annual squads wage is around 94k! Hopefully the board will inject some of that cash into the club.

Incredibly, Serbia managed to win Euro 2016! This is pretty impressive considering they failed to even qualify in real life.

Wales had a pretty tough time in the tournament and ended up losing all 3 of their group games, which lead to the resignation of Chris Coleman. Although it was a bit of a long shot i decided to apply for the position.

Unfortunately the Welsh board quickly dismissed my application and instead settled for the former dutch goalkeeper, Stanley Menzo. He is a relatively inexperienced manager, which gives me some hope for the future.

Season Preview 2016/17

View attachment 205986

So the board are now expecting us to achieve a mid-table finish, which should be straight forward enough as I am going to be aiming for top 4. I will also be hoping to end the season with some silverware, so either the JD Welsh Cup or theWord Cup.

The media also think we will achieve a mid-table finish, which is a big improvement from being relegation tipped last season

There has been quite a lot of transfer activity so far, as i decided to release alot of the deadweight, who were not good enough to push for a 1st team place. I have brought in 6 players on free transfers and am pretty satisfied with the squad for the start of the season.

The 2 new additions to the squad, of any real note are Alex Lawless and Ellis Bellamy

View attachment 205974

Alex Lawless - I consider him to be the most talented player in the squad. He is a talented midfielder that can play both centrally and out on the right. Hopefully he will prove to be a massive boost to the side.

View attachment 205973

Ellis Bellamy - Another young striker with a lot of potential. He has decent physical attributes and hopefully a keen eye for goal.

The finances are currently looking very healthy after the money received from the Europa Qualifiers. Hopefully I can get the club to invest this new found wealth!

Theres a start! The board have agreed to improve the Junior coaching.

August

August turned out to be a perfect month for us (and the start of September as i got a bit carried away)! We are through to the 3rd round of theWord Cup and a 100% record in the Welsh Premier League. Despite our great start to the season, the only team of any real note we have come up against is Bangor City. Both Afan Lido and Cefn Druids were promoted last season so are arguably the weakest teams in the division. Having said that we can only beat whats in front of us and thats exactly what we have done!

View attachment 205512

Our 2 August victories in the League, resulted in me picking up 2nd in the Manager of the Month. All 3 of us won our opening couple of games, but i guess TNS did so by bigger margins.

View attachment 205511

We have been given a decent draw in theWord Cup, against Afan Lido who we have already beaten this year in the league. I usually rotate the team quite heavily for this competition, but will still be confident of progressing.

So our opening 3 games has left us top of the Welsh Premier League, as TNS dropped points against Bangor. We have some tougher teams to play for the remainder of September, including a massive game against TNS at home.

View attachment 205505

The only bad news for us in August was the long term injury to new signing Alex Lawless. I picked him out to be our key player this season, but unfortunately injured his hip in the first match of the season. He has been sent to a specialist and should back within 3 months hopefully.

September

September proved to be another good month for us, winning 4 matches and losing just the one game. The win over TNS was a huge result and proved how far we have come from last season. Unfortunately we did suffer our first defeat of the season, away to Bala. It was a game that could of gone either way and i think a draw would of been a fair result, but then again we did strike a little lucky against TNS.

View attachment 205022

Our run in TheWord Cup continues after defeating Afan Lido and we have now progressed to the Semi Finals. We received another good draw and our chances of reaching the final look promising. I will continue to play a rotated side as the tournament, as my primary focus is on the League.

For the second time this season I finished runner up in the Manager of the Month award, as Afan Lido managed to achieve an extra point than us (despite us beating them in theWord Cup :p).

The loss to Bala also ended an 8 match unbeaten run! It is a shame we couldn't extend this a bit further, but i was glad to see the supporters still gloating about our victory over Tromso in the Europa League qualifiers!

October focuses primarily on the League, and will be hoping to remain in 1st place come the start of November. There are a few challenging fixtures to contend with, so will be interesting to see how we fair.

Good start to the season mate! Could be pushing for a bit more than top 4 this season!
Thanks - It couldn't have gone much better!

It's early days yet, but if we keep up this form then who knows what we could achieve!

Fantastic start to your 2nd season - Will Abbott's looks to be a quality find for this level!
Cheers! Yeah i signed him midway through last season, but didn't really contribute too much. He is looking a great player this season and still only 19! Just have to hope i can hang on to him.

We drew 2-2 in the home leg and then lost 4-0 in the away leg. And yeah I am. I was trying to decided between them and Port Talbot but went with Carmarthen just because of there nickname.
