Today marks the end of the 2013 Summer transfer window with yet again alot of activity for Reading FC. It is well documented that they had some real financial issues last season and it showed in this window as they sold off many players to help sort the finances out. Some of the names departing the Madejski include Alan Dzagoev, Alberto Costa and Anthony Forde. However Reading did not just sell players this window they also brought in many players most of which are young starlets but also with some top quality first team contenders in there. Big names added to the squad include young Wilfried Zaha, Coutinho and Bonucci on loan from Juventus with a reported afreement to make the deal permenant if Reading decide to. Reading manager Adam Howard had the following to say about this window, "Yes it is true we had some financial issues and this did force us to sell some talent but the players we have brought in have more than enough quality to boost the squad and areyounger and has also reduced the wage bill so all in all I am pleased with the dealings we have done this window.
