Udinese just won Roma to take top spot. Seems like it's pretty clear which teams will be in top 4 this season. Also believe scudetto will be down to Milan and Juve with Udinese and Lazio competing for last CL spot.

Roma lost... **** it! Would really want them back in the CL!

Well there's plenty of games left... Top 2 will be tough I believe, but third place isn't impossible. Roma have squad which has quality to achieve that.

Yeah, but if they can't beat the other CL contenders like Udinese, they might just get stuck with Europa League again next year. They have a great squad, no doubt but to get back in the Champions League they have to beat the teams like Napoli, Udinese, Juventus, etc.

Intresting, no Napoli? :)

Yea I'd bet Napoli would be contesting for that 3rd CL spot, but not for top two unless either Milan or Juve slip up. They don't have as large squads as these two have so playing in CL will take it's toll.

Enjoying the Lazio vs Juve game, Marchetti has been exceptional. Not sure about the Lazio defence, but both teams are having a go. Obviously glad that Juve are ahead, would like an extra goal cushion but as long as Juve see this out I'm happy.

Matri has been outstanding, again, easily the in form Italian striker going into the new year ahead of Osvaldo. If Matri and Balotelli can hit it off for the Azzurri Italy's chances at Euro 2012 increase significantly.

Hernanes has been reminding me what a class act he is all game, how could I ever forget, what a fantastic player.

Just checked the results today, Parma beat by Novara... FML moment for me.
Still sitting in 11th so hoping we can pick up a bit of form

Hernanes is **** fine player. I hope now when Berlusconi doesn't have to think what italian people think about him in other cities than Milan ( Like when he tried to get votes from Napoli by saying that he isn't going to sign Hamsik ) signs up Hernanes. He's exactly what Milan needs in their midfield to be force in CL this season.

Also I've been positively surprised by Atalanta. They are doing quite fine and without point deduction would be near top. Today good draw against Napoli. Also you can see that CL games are taking toll on Napoli.

Strange team at the moment Parma, Giovinco is a cut above and ends up trying to do too much. Biabiany is still stuttering along not yet fully fulfilling his potential, not close, Ze Eduardo has been given too much game time too soon in my opinion he's far too young to be the one expected to make an impact.

Not a fan of Pelle, I think he attracts long balls and all he is is a hold up man. They really should have paid Amauri the extra 40,000 euros a week in the summer, he would have done great things for them.

If anyone was wondering where Amauri is, he was the Primavera waterboy and now Conte has made him train with the youth team.

Saying that, Rigoni had an excellent game for Novara and credit to them for sticking to their tactics and capitalize on Parma's tiredness.

I agree completely. Hernanes for years, far too long, was left in Brazil despite everyone in Europe labelling him as 'the next Kaka' and a star. Everyone sniffed around him but only one team paid his pricetag, Lazio, and they are reaping the benefits.

He's not that similar to Kaka, but he is a fantastic passer and technical playmaker. If he could add an extra 5-7 goals a season he would be revered amongst the best no doubt about it, it's all about keeping him injury free.

Put it this way, if Pastore is worth 40 million euros then Hernanes must be worth 50. The Italian transfer market's gently inflating to the levels of early 000's again, I'm worried because that means Amauri must be worth 60 million and with FFP no one is going to pay that...

Only problem with this is that Lazio's financial situation isn't the best. And if they'd be offered 15-20m they'd probably accept.

I agree with most of what you said especially about Amauri.
However the good news is that he is free to move in January so hopefully the board will see sense and try bring him back.

Also worth noting that Parma have won 5 of their 7 home games but lost all 5 away games, we need some much needed experience upfront and he would provide us with that. I would even prefer just to start Crespo for a few games and get him to lead the line.

I'm really, really impressd with Denis. He was good here, but when he left for Europe he just faded. Seeing him pop up with 10 goals in some 12 games was an unexpected surprise.

Cesena 2-0 up against Genoa with a brace by Mutu. Really happy for the guy.
