Pre-Season Report:
Swansea enjoyed a
strong and productive pre-season, using a packed schedule to build momentum, test depth, and sharpen attacking patterns ahead of the new campaign.
The summer began positively with
comfortable home wins over
Forest Green (2–0) and
Salford (3–1), setting the tone early. A mixed spell on the road followed, highlighted by an impressive
3–1 away win against Sigma Olomouc, though defensive frailties were exposed in a heavy
6–2 defeat to Baník Ostrava. The squad responded well, regaining control with a solid
2–0 victory at First Vienna FC.
Back on home soil, Swansea hit their stride. Convincing wins over
Bray Wanderers (5–1) and
Sparta Prague (2–0) showcased attacking depth and improved cohesion, before a disciplined
0–0 draw against Wolves provided a valuable test against Premier League opposition.
August continued the upward trend, with wins against
Dundee United (3–1) and
Paris FC (1–0), before pre-season concluded emphatically with a dominant
6–0 victory over Macclesfield.
Overall, pre-season delivered
goals, confidence, and clarity, with the squad showing resilience after setbacks, strong home form, and growing tactical sharpness — leaving Swansea well prepared for the competitive season ahead.
Transfer Update:
We start with the outgoings first & again its mostly loans for younger players - loans for all players who made their debuts end of last year in the
Premier League, however all outgoings were sold at a profit.
Tosin Adarabioyo arrived from Fiorentina for just
£2m, proving to be a shrewd and low-risk addition to the squad.
An experienced
30-year-old centre-back, Adarabioyo brings
Premier League–ready physicality with his 6'5" frame, strong aerial presence, and solid defensive fundamentals. Comfortable on the ball and capable of stepping out from the back.
For the price paid, this deal represents
excellent value, providing leadership, depth, and immediate competition at the heart of Swansea’s defence.
Jofre Torrents joined from Barcelona for
£5.25m, continuing Swansea’s smart recruitment with a high-upside, long-term signing.
At just
21 years old, Torrents already looks
first-team ready at left-back/wing-back, combining strong technical ability with excellent positioning and athleticism. His comfort on the ball, willingness to drive forward, and reliability defensively make him well suited to an
inside full-back or attacking wing-back role, giving Swansea balance and progression down the left flank.
With
five-star potential and top-level pedigree, this feels like an
outstanding value deal—a player who can grow into a cornerstone of the side while offering immediate impact in the Premier League.
Danilo Stosić arrived from
Partizan for
£5.5m, adding another exciting piece to Swansea’s long-term project.
Just
18 years old, the highly rated
right wing-back is very much one for the future, offering raw athleticism, energy and attacking intent down the flank. While still developing, his age and profile suggest significant upside, with time and coaching expected to mould him into a powerful modern wing-back.
This signing underlines the club’s strategy of investing in
elite young talent early, securing high-ceiling players who can grow into key contributors at Premier League level.
Andrey Santos was secured from
Chelsea for
£8.25m, adding real quality and depth to Swansea’s midfield.
A dynamic and well-rounded midfielder, Santos brings a strong blend of
physicality, composure and intelligence, capable of influencing games at both ends of the pitch. Despite his young age, he arrives with top-level experience and the mentality to handle Premier League demands.
This move continues Swansea’s smart recruitment approach — targeting
high-upside talent with immediate impact, while still leaving room for growth and future value.
Ronnie Edwards arrived from
Southampton for
£17.75m, marking one of Swansea’s marquee signings of the window.
A composed and modern
centre-back, Edwards adds
leadership, defensive assurance and ball-playing quality to the back line. Comfortable building from deep and strong in his reading of the game, he looks tailor-made for Premier League football.
At this stage of his career, the signing strikes the perfect balance between
proven reliability and long-term upside, reinforcing Swansea’s defence while laying foundations for sustained top-flight stability.
Rayan joined Swansea from
Vasco da Gama for
£21m, a statement signing that underlines the club’s growing ambition.
A highly rated
attacking prospect, Rayan brings
pace, flair and direct goal threat, with the raw attributes to trouble Premier League defenses immediately. Still developing, his ceiling is extremely high, and this move represents both a
short-term boost and a
long-term investment.
It’s a bold acquisition, adding excitement and unpredictability to the forward line while signaling Swansea’s intent to compete at the highest level.
Josip Dunjvak was signed from
Servette for
£8.75m, with the decision made to
loan him straight back until the end of the season.
A highly regarded young prospect, the move allows Swansea to
secure his long-term future early while ensuring he continues to receive regular first-team football. The loan-back arrangement supports his development and integration timeline, positioning him to arrive
more mature and ready to contribute when he joins the squad in full.
