He's behind only Ashley Cole and Leighton Baines in the run for England LB imo. Gibbs seems to be ahead of him but he shouldn't IMO.

Obviously Liverpool won't be getting Cole or Baines any times soon, so Warnock looks like a great signing if it proves true.
 
LIVERPOOL are trying to tempt Aston Villa boss Gerard Houllier to part with England winger Stewart Downing.
New Kop manager Kenny Dalglish believes Downing, 26, would give his side much-needed width and pace.
Dalglish’s predecessor, Roy Hodgson, had also been eyeing Villa’s Ashley Young, 25, but it’s Downing who is on a shortlist of possible Kop signings during the transfer window.
Liverpool believe Downing would come cheaper than his Villa Park team-mate at around £10 million.


Also on Liverpool’s radar is Wigan’s enigmatic Charles N’Zogbia, but it’s believed that manager Roberto Martinez is holding out for around £15million.

So because you read a newspaper saying we we were going to bid 30m, you a) believed it XD and b) come to the conclusion that we have more money than sense.

Apparently Everton and Spurs's talks for Pienaar have broken down because they want his for free and Chelsea are willing to pay money now. Apparently David Moyes said this after the game today so if anyone can confirm that?

Doesnt say anything about the fee, but supports what you say

Everton boss David Moyes on Steven Pienaar: "We've had one offer from Chelsea which has been accepted. The offer we have had from Tottenham hasn't been accepted. He spoke to me yesterday and said he didn't feel his head was right to play in the game."
 
Dammit. Have to take it out the Confirmed thread. At first it was "confirmed", but now its "likely hes moving". I'm stickin to SSN from now on
