Tbh just because it's on skysports doesn't mean it's true. I remember in the 09 summer transfer window sky had a story on benzema saying that he is moving to man utd and the next day real madrid bought him.

Sunderland plot double deal for Manchester City's Adam Johnson and Nedum Onuoha

Johnson would not betray Boro like that, he will not be another cattermole who jumps ship just because he threw his dummy out the pram in training.
Wish you luck with Onuoha but Johnson is staying at city :)
Plus you would have to fork out alot to get him, the 8 mill city paid plus 4 more I would say because middlesbrough have a pretty hefty sell on clause in johnson's deal
You may say 'he loves the north east, but he doesn't he loves the boro.' ;)

Of course your forgetting that he doesn't actually support Boro, he grew up in a Sunderland-supporting family, idolising a Newcastle player and reportedly supported Man Utd before going on to play for the rivals of Sunderland, Newcastle and Man Utd. If that's not betrayal, then what is?

I still think he knows which club raised him mate, I know you have plenty of case and points on this such as Cattermole who is a boro lad through and through going off to join you lot at Sunderland and a few more down the years...
I will stake my signed Didier Drogba poster that he does not move to Sunderland, if he does I'll mail it to you ;)

You might be right, but at the end of the day it's all about playing football, and I doubt footballers care that much about whether or not they're betraying their previous team. Look at the likes of Lee Clark, Stewart Downing, Titus Bramble, Julio Arca etc. all played for Boro or the skunks as well as Sunderland.

Manchester United line up Newcastle striker Andy Carroll

Newcastle United striker Andy Carroll is being watched closely by Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson as he looks to bolster his striking options.

It is believed that the Red Devils manager is looking for one more striker as questions marks remain over some of his current roster and The Metro believe Fergie sees Carroll as the missing link.

As Goal.com UK exclusively revealed last week, Ferguson is likely to face competition for the striker if he decides to make a move in January.

While Dimitar Berbatov leads the Premier League scoring charts, Ferguson is reportedly keen to strengthen, as England star Wayne Rooney continues to misfire after his return from injury, and Michael Owen is expected to leave in January, or the summer.

In terms of other options, Javier Hernandez has impressed but is not yet an automatic first team choice, while Federico Macheda is still untried and has been linked with moves back to Italy.

United manager Ferguson is also expected to be given £50 million to spend over the course of the next year and remains among the favourites to capture the troubled striker .

Carroll isn't for sale, isn't he ?

Go. Honestly, **** off.

Barcelona are set to make an enquiry to Arsenal as to the availability of their Brazilian midfielder Denilson, reports from Spain suggest.

Sport comments that the 22-year-old has fallen out of favour with manager Arsene Wenger and has made just two league starts all season for the London club.

The emergence of Jack Wilshere alongside Abou Diaby has also seen the former Sao Paolo man fall further down the pecking order, sparking interest from a number of European clubs in securing his signature.

Bundesliga side Wolfsburg are the most recent side to be linked with an approach for Denilson, allegedly readying a £10 million bid, but it appears that Barca will look to hijack that move with a bid of their own.

Coach Pep Guardiola feels that he would fit well into the club’s philosophy, and the player himself has admitted that he could be on the verge of leaving English football.

He is quoted as saying: “There is talk of possible interest from Barcelona, and right now I would not rule out a change of scenery, but at the moment I’m an Arsenal player."

Even though it's just goal.com, I so hope it's true.

Barcelona to splash £85m to bring in Arsenal skipper Cesc Fabregas & Liverpool's Fernando Torres next summer

Barcelona are reportedly plotting an £85 million splurge to sign Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas and Liverpool forward Fernando Torres.

The Spanish side are thought to have received a significant boost in flexing their financial muscle through their recent shirt sponsorship deal, and The Mirror claims that this will enable them to go after the two Premier League players.

Fabregas has been linked with a move back to the Catalan club for a few seasons now, and seemed to be dangerously close to joining them last summer. He was, however, persuaded to continue plying his trade with the north London club after a discussion with manager Arsene Wenger.

But it has now been reported that the Gunner may not remain at Ashburton Grove if the Catalan heavyweights come calling once more.

Torres has had a hit-and-miss season so far at Liverpool, and is also thought to be on Real Madrid's radar. But it is said that being a former Atletico Madrid player would make him disinclined to make a move to the Bernabeu.

I thought Barca's finances were on the decline lately? That's why they are finally getting a commercial shirt sponsor next season isn't it? :S

Good luck getting both for 85 million.
Considering Wenger will want 60 mill minimum for Cesc and Pool aren't going to let Torres go easily.

This rumours were also published here in Spain actually, if I'm not wrong.

About Denilson, I don't really Barça would be interested in buying him.
About Fabregas and Torres, I basically agree; first I don't think Barça has such this amount of money to spend, and this money would probably not be enough for buying both players.

Just heard Darmesh Shep talking absolute lala on sky sports. Apparently Jay Bothroyd will sign a pre contract for next season in january with a foreign club as he is out of contract. Here is the laughable bit, teams he is linked with: Roma, Juventus, Lazio, Bayern. And apparently Milan, Lyon and Dortmund have all made approaches... Jesus.
