Bulgarian Levski's Football Star to Leave on Record Transfer

photo_verybig_123431.jpg

Garra Dembele, the Bulgarian Levski squad's top striker, is to leave the club during the upcoming transfer window in exchange for at least EUR 3.5 M, Todor Batkov, Chairman of the club has announced.

The luxurious deal would set a record for the team, as a Levski player has never been sold that expensive. Even though Batkov did not mention the team interested in signing Dembele, reports say German Werder Bremen and English Reading are among the candidates for the talented forward.

The prolific 24-year old French striker has put on an impressive display this season, hitting the net 26 times in 26 games so far, which leaves him with chances to grab the European Golden Boots award.

Garra Dembele, started his career as an exciting young prospect in the French team of Auxerre. He even played in the French Under-21 national squad. In October 2006, though, his career went downhill, as he was accused of raping 22-year old American student while in Rome. The raping charges were subsequently dropped, but Dembele never played in a top-level European team since this case.

Even though the striker's career seems to be getting back on track, he was recently busted driving under the influence, joining the list of more and more football players in Bulgaria, who have been involved in alcohol-induced scandals.

Gogogogogo McDermott!

Da Silva is either going to Zaragoza or back to Mexico
I see. The same that they say here. Just wanted to know if media there say if he more likely to come here rather than going to Mexico.
Thank you.

Inter hold talks with Udinese over £17m move for Manchester United target Alexis Sanchez

Inter have held a series of talks with Udinese over the transfer of winger Alexis Sanchez in January, according to reports in Italy.

The 22-year-old has been linked to Manchester United, but with the Italian and European champions struggling in the first half of the season, they are set to make a concrete effort to land the tricky winger.

Talks between Inter technical director Marco Branca and Udinese president Giampaolo Pozzo are underway with La Gazzetta dello Sport reporting that the Zebrette will demand at least £17million for the Chile international.

However, Branca is reportedly ready to include a number of young players in the deal in an effort to lower the asking price.

Sir Alex Ferguson targets Pepe Reina: Manchester United boss keen to splash part of Glazers' £50m on Liverpool goalkeeper

Sir Alex Ferguson is expected to be given at least £50million to spend in the transfer market and is targeting Liverpool’s Pepe Reina as a replacement for goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar.
The Manchester United manager is prepared to hold fire until the summer, when the Glazer family will let him dip into the transfer fund they have accumulated.

A £20m move for Reina is expected then, although the club are also monitoring Atletico Madrid’s David de Gea, who would cost £17m.
Reina is known to be unsettled at Liverpool, who are well off the pace for a Champions League spot, and Van der Sar, at 40, is coming to the end of his top-flight career.

United’s debts reached £750m before a recent repayment of £249m and they recorded losses of £83.6m in their last accounts.
But the club have cash reserves estimated to be £120m thanks largely to the £80m sale of Cristiano Ronaldo to Real Madrid last year.
That money will diminish as the season goes on but £50m is thought to be set aside for new signings.

The Glazers appear to have paid off the highest interest chunk of United’s debts, the payment-in-kind (PIK) loans, themselves rather than rely on an outside investor.
Rumours that Qatar International Holdings might have settled them in return for a stake in the club were discounted after the Glazers issued just two extra shares to cover the amount.
They are thought to have paid off the PIK loans by selling some assets, using cash reserves and arranging alternative credit.
But if they secured the new loans against the shares in their holding companies registered in the USA, then there would be a legal requirement for them to reveal the extent of their debt.

Given his recent contract signing I highly doubt he is unsettled. Either way, won't be sold. Not many keepers like him.

Complete and utter bs that reina story. Even if he was unsettled at liverpool which he isn't he would NEVER move to man utd as I think he is too loyal to liverpool. Anyway its a daily fail story so it has to be bs

You'll be linked with every French player ever, know you've got Houllier(6)
How long before a Benzema rumour crops up...
Like us, Anelka, Sinama Pongolle, Le Tallec, Diouf ****, Cisse, Diarra, Diao, that french full back who played for Brum last year, god knows who else.
