I don't think there's much link between Villa's performance and the Economy xD Unless, people unexpectedly stop buying things out of protest of Villa's success, those Birmingham fans must stop at nothing to stop you winning. XD

Villa improve their bid for Adam: http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_6651097,00.html

What happened to Fofana?

Goodness knows what's happened to Fofana.

Word is on Adam, now that we've increased it to £3.5 mil we're willing to go to £4.5, no higher.

Bridge having a medical at Wham, thank goodness.

I've never understood why clubs bid £3.5m and then release it they'd be willing to go to £4.5m. Houllier needs to learn to negotiate.

I don't see why you were in for Bridge anyway, not much of an improvement over Warnock.

Transfer Market looks like it kicking into action.

Seb Larsson is in talks with Newcastle over 1.5m move.
David Bentley is close to finalizing a loan to Birmingham.
River's Pablo Mouche wants to move to England, West ham and Blackburn are expected to bid.
St. Etienne are mulling over a move for Arsenal's Gilles Sunu.
Nancy have said it will take a bid of at least 6m to prise Youssouf Hadji from them(ex Coventry and Villa)
Newcastle, Birmingham and Villa have had bids rejected for Charlie Adam.
Sulley Muntari has rejected a move to Sunderland.
Lorient's Kevin Gameiro is being eyed by Newcastle, Valencia and Espanyol.
Swansea are interested in signing Tom Soares from Stoke.
Wayne Bridge will choose between West Ham or Aston Villa in the next 48 hours.
West Brom are hoping to get John Carew by the end of the month.

Mustapha Hadji?

just seen reported on ssn, Tottenham are reportly in "advanced" talks with Everton over defender Phil Neville.

Seriously? Spurs becoming the Manchester United Vets team off the league?

Bit of experience at left back maybe. Assou is awful haha. Still funny though, would love to see him there.

Actually, it wasn't released. VillaTalk's mole went and had a dig and found it for us, so keep it on the down low! :P Bridge is rubbish.

Neville's staying put, then.

A) Neville is a right back and Holding Mid. Is he not? :S
B) Benny Ekotto is in no way awful. Don't be silly.

Don't rate Ekotto at all, Spurs need a left back not a right back IMO.

Hopefully we complete the Bridge deal, he's not great but anything is an improvement on Herita Ilunga and Danny Gabbidon. We still need a centre back, a winger and a striker if we are going to have a chance of staying in the division. Ideally we'd sign about 6-7 players but realistically, that is not going to happen

Of Course we dont need a right back, we have like 6, Benny is fine but we just need another as back up seeing as we only have one left back.

Saw a stat the other day aswell saying that BAE has the most interceptions in the league.

Assou - Ekottu is quality and you have a replacement in Bale if need be. Spurs are only really missing a world class striker, but I think Pav should get more 1st team chances

We need a LB as back up, we dont want to play Bale there as then it disrupts the team and moves players around.

I hope this Neville thing is a joke... He's far to old to be splashing out £1.5m on. We need a new first team LB, someone to challenge BAE -- that, along with a top striker, should be our main priorities.

Larsson and Newcastle unable to agree on terms, deal appears off.

Southampton midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has scored against Oldham. Damien Comolli is at Boundary Park to watch him #lfc

Second time he's seen him play. Seems very good. DO ETT
