Intro

As many of you would have already read, this a player game with a twist based on Lippo255’s story. The idea being that each player starts as a 16 year old hopeful, trying to make his way in the world of football. Each player starts with CA of 75 and a PA of -10, they are allowed one maximum ‘20’ attribute, the rest is randomly generated by the editor. The aim of the ‘experiment, really is to see how each player develops, whether we all make it on the shortlist for the World Player of the Year come 2024 or if some of us fade into the mediocracy of lower league football, as let’s face it, there is bound to be at least one unlucky player that is doomed for a career in and out of the physio’s room.

The story will begin around four clubs; Southampton, Ajax, Pescera and Koln. Each player will originally be inducted into the Under-21 team of their choice, the rest is up to the randomness of FM15. Once I have the finishing touches in place this evening the players can proceed to introduce themselves (To everyone involved, keep an eye out on the discussions thread this evening). From there, regular 6 Month/Yearly updates will be uploaded for players to keep you up to speed with their progress.

Good luck lads and may the race to be No.1 be a good one!

Good luck everyone! but I hope I become the best but knowing my luck I wont lol

Bio:

Matthew 'Bullardinho' Bullard was born in Sidcup, England on the 31st July 1998 by a Brazilian mother and English father, giving him the nickname Bullardinho. After spending much of his life moving from country to country across Europe with his parents, the family finally settles in Amsterdam, where Matthew starts to show an appetite for goal, scoring an impressive 172 goals in just 118 games for a local amateur side in the Dutch City, stats that clearly impressed Ajax scouts.
Bullardinho has long dreamed of being a professional footballer and is determined to be the best striker in Europe and hopes Ajax can be the springboard to launch him to international stardom.

Ladies & gentleman, boys & girls. Introducing the next "big" thing in German football....

Mewan Nuguy

View attachment 278792

Born in Cameroon hulking centreback, Mewan Nuguy, immigrated to france with his family at age 10 when his father was offered a job with the Tour de France organising committee.

Encouraged by his mother to join the local football team as a way of making new friends he was originally selected as a goal keeper due to his massive frame. It wasn't long however before the youngsters skill on the ball & physical presence was noticed by staff & he was moved into the outfield.

Nuguy was soon to be a first team regular at the club making his debut at just 13 & becoming a fixture in the side from that point on.

It wasn't long before word of the giant teenager got out & he found himself being courted by some of the biggest clubs in France.

On the eve of his 16th birthday it is believed Nuguy was minutes away from agreeing to a deal to join French giants Lyon when a last ditch pitch by F.C. Koln head of recruitment persuaded him to pack his bags & head to Cologne.

Stating the prospect of playing with other talented youngsters such as Charlie McGee & Jamie Williams to be a major factor in his decision the world now awaits to see if the Cameroonians talent can match that of his enormous frame.

Laurent Dubois was born in the beautiful city of Lyon in France on 9th August 1998. At a very young age, Dubois showed affinity for the beautiful game of football and with the encouragement of hisparents, he decided to pursue a career in football. Dubois grew up watching football from different Leagues but the English Premier League caught his eye for its competitiveness.

Right from the beginning of his career, Dubois had an eye for passing and creating the play. When playing for his local boyhood clubs, Dubois told his coach about how deep lying playmakers like Pirlo, Xavi and Scholes inspired him. His coach saw his intelligence on the pitch and his ability to pick out key passes and encouraged Dubois to try out for his city's local club Olympique Lyonnais.
He was not a wonderkid, but he had something special in him. Lyon were impressed with his skills that they wanted to offer him a youth contract. A couple of English clubs were also scouting the youngster - particularly Southampton and Alan Pardew's Crystal Palace. Because of his fondness for the Premier League, young Dubois pounced on the opportunity when Southampton wanted to offer him a youth contract.

With words of encouragement from his parents and coaches, Laurent Dubois left France for England and will try to prosper into a key player. In an exclusive interview after signing his youth contract, Dubois revealed his delight at being able to move to the club and said he was keen to continue his development. "It's not going to be easy but I will try. I felt that Southampton was the best choice for me as a young player," he said.

Dubois will be one of four new youngsters at Southampton who recently signed their contracts. He'll try to develop alongside the likes of Matthew Harrison, Sean Kenney and Samuel Peters.

Swedish Starlet Signs for Ajax

View attachment 278773 View attachment 278771

15 year old Swedish winger Patrick Liljenqvist has signed a youth contract with Dutch giants Ajax Amsterdam. He becomes Ajax's fifth youth signing in recent days, joining Bullardinho, Are Burheim, Josep van Branco and Chai Clark on the Ajax payroll. Noted for his incredible eye for a killer pass, the youngster has been tipped by many to develop into a world class player, and he certainly feels Ajax will give him the opportunity to fulfil his potential. When asked about his decision, he referred to many Scandinavian stars who have developed their game at the club, including Christian Eriksen, Viktor Fischer, Lasse Schone and compatriot Zlatan Ibrahimovic. When asked if he would be the next Zlatan, Liljenqvist displayed none of Ibrahimovic's trademark self-aggrandisement, instead preferring to say that he just wished to play as best he could and develop to reach his potential. Finally, he was asked, should he develop into a top player, would he join a long line of home grown Ajax stars to seek pastures new abroad after blossoming at the club. Liljenqvist said that while he would love to remain loyal to Ajax, and had a great deal of respect for players who stay with the one club their entire careers, should a club he supported as a child come knocking, they would be difficult to turn down. In particular, should Liverpool or Borussia Dortmund offer him a contract, he confirmed that he would sign in a heartbeat.

"My dream is to play for Liverpool FC, but for now I want to keep my head down and focus on Ajax. Whether I am playing for the youth side or for Jong Ajax, I want to play the best that I can and push for a promotion to the first team as soon as I can. It's too early to talk about leaving the club."

McGhee diary - Day 1

View attachment 826174

Wow what a day! My first ever training session with the Koln U/19’s. I’d been so excited after they signed me when the Australian Schoolboys football team I was touring Germany with had played their U/16 side but now I’m not so sure. Man, everyone is so much more fit than anyone I played with back home. I was completely out of breath just from the warm up!! Having said that I think technically I stack up to most of the other guys here.

Funny story though. We’re about halfway through training doing some small sided games and there was a challenge not far from me and the ball popped straight up in the air. Anyway I go to jump to head and get absolutely hammered by this guy as he goes straight through me and wins the header. As I pick myself up off the turf I turn to face one of the tallest people I’ve ever seen and he offers his hand, “New Guy?” he said. “Yeah I’m the new guy,” I replied back, “No me – Nuguy” he corrected me in somewhat broken English, grasping my hand with the strength of two men – I seriously don’t think he understands just how big he is! He’s obviously a decent bloke though and after the morning session sat with me at lunch. I found out he’s from Cameroon. We started joking about how short I was compared to him and stood back to back. I barely came up to the bottom of his chest!

I can see though that we will be good mates as I could tell he could sense I was struggling to fit in a bit and vice versa as a 2 meter tall African there wasn’t too many people he could relate to either. Another guy who joined us for lunch was the one who stood out as our best player in the morning session Williams. Thankfully he is Welsh so speaks English and that meant we linked up well on the pitch when we moved to a bigger game. Later in the afternoon we did some shooting practice and I’ve never seen anyone pick out the top corner like he was – its uncanny!

Anyway I’ve better get some sleep. I’m going to need it to keep up with these guys!

Talented Kiwi Back on the Rails?

Local bad boy and well known footballing talent Chai Clark has recently been picked up by the Ajax Football Academy in a hope to tarnish his old ways and get his career back on the straight and narrow. Hailing from the mean streets of Auckland, New Zealand it was obvious that Chai had the potential to go far. Winning multiple titles with his High School team Westlake Boys and playing seniors at his local club Albany Utd he was doing everything he could to showcase his skills to anybody that knew anything about football in NZ. A regular in both these sides whilst still only 14 was the key to his development. He had already made the right side his own. Defensively a rock, nobody got past him and dam could this boy whip in a cross. Unfortunately there was more going on in this young mans life.

Playing with an older crowd Chai began to get into the pub scene after the game with the lads. A fan favourite, Chai was regularly showered with booze and at just 14 it already began his downward spiral. It started with being late to training yet quickly evolved into something more; missing training completely and if he even bothered to show up he'd show up intoxicated, turning up to games hungover and it got worse too. After being kicked out of school for drinking in class Chai then turned to the streets where some run ins with the law forced his parents to step in and somehow get this talent back on the right path.

Shipped off to Amsterdam and living with a great Aunt, Chai had begun to turn his life around. Spotted by a scout at the local indoor complex he was immediately asked to attend a training session with the Ajax youth squad. Having just turned 15 and determined to do right by himself, could this be the break he needs to utilize his tremendous potential? As an outsider looking in we would love to see the young man get his life started once again and this is the club that can do it.

Keep following for regular updates on this troubled talent as we bring you all the news as it happens.

Introducing Sean Keaney

He was born on 10th April in Reading and was raised not far from Southampton, he is also available to represent the Republic of Ireland. Always having aspirations of making it as a professional footballer, he would always attend the trial days at his local teams until one day he got a call from Southampton.

He joins the youth system alongside Samuel Peters, Matthew Harrison and Laurent Dubois. The aim is simple, make it into the Southampton first team and hopefully represent his country and join his beloved Chelsea. A lot of hard work is in store first though...

Oh when the Saints go marching in!

There you have it, these are the 16 fresh faced hopefuls, desperate to make it in the big time of European football. Each one of them have the potential ability to make an impact on the domestic and international game, the question is, who will get there first? Who will fulfil their potential to be one of the worlds best? Who will be the best? Only time will tell!

A star is born

Jamie Williams signs for Koln on a youth contract. The 15 year old striker was spotted when playing for his old team Halkyn. And the German team were quick to sign him up. The Liverpool supporter has openly admitted his dream is to play for Liverpool, the club he supports. He also one day said he wants to win the Champions League after watching that memorable night in Istanbul.

"I'm delighted to have signed here at Koln, I'm at a big club who can progress well with the talent we have here. I'm looking forward to getting my head down and trying to improve as a player. My dream move would be to Liverpool when I'm older, but I'm prepared to put the work in here and if I become a success here that will be enough for me!"

Can he make it as a professional footballer? Not many make it past this stage, so it will be a big ask for Williams whether or not he will become a star.

Andreas Clarkini, Born August 14th 1998, to an Italian father and Japanese mother, in the city of Pescara, Abruzzo. At a very young age, his parents moved to the city of Sunderland as his father went to work for his brother while his mother looked after him. Life was quite hard as his father did not make much money but they got by. Football was a huge part of his life and he would play football whenever he could. Despite being Pescara at heart, Andreas followed Sunderland and would regularly attend games as and when they could afford to. After 8 years and at the age of 9, Andreas and his family returned to Pescara to re-join their family due to the passing of his Grandma.

At the age of 11, Andreas would join his home town of Pescara youth ranks. His flair and determination is what made him stand out when the head of youth development at Pescara was walking with his dog passed an under-12's league game played on a horrible, dried out pitch. He saw potential and this brings us to this moment after 3 years later and after finally signing a youth contract, we follow the journey of a young Italian looking to make it to the top.

However with the likes of Frederico Masseo and James Scott battling Andreas for the CM role, it could be a tough beginning if the performances are not up to scratch.

James ' The Machine' Scott

Introducing the future of Pescara :

James Scott.

James was born in Gateshead to a family of Australian descent, James lived in a small village called Washington for the first 11 years of his life were he developed a devoted passion for football and in particular NUFC!

James played for the Washington youth side in which he was a standout performer from a very young age, Although not a striker James has a keen eye for goal and great ability to pick out a pass.

His parents however had a change of career which ultimately led to the move to Italy, James however continued to play youth football in Pescara and had a scorching season were he notched up 28 goals in just 14 games for the remainder of the season, This alerted several proffesional clubs and ultimately he signed for Pescara, a club in which he holds high regards for and is looking forward to the challenge of developing and trying to break into the first team.

His ultimate goal in the world of football however is to one day grace the pitch of St.James' Park infront of 52,000 geordies.

Josep van Branco / The Beginning

View attachment 278599

Meet Josep van Branco. Born and raised in Rotterdam, the only thing Josep ever wanted was to be a footballer.

Wow, just finished my first day at training at Ajax. What an experience that was! I have played football since I was 4 years old for my local side in Rotterdam, and always stood out from the rest. My ability to read the game long before anyone else has always been my key attribute. When I was younger I played up front as I was still considered better than the rest of the team up there, but since I moved to an 11-a-side pitch I mainly anchored the midfield whilst sometimes covering at Centre back.

So back to my day. The first thing I saw when I arrived at 9am this morning was the most perfect free kick I had seen in my life. A 30 yarder. The ball moved like Pirlo had struck it on steroids. I soon found out that it was New Zealander Chia Clark struck it, it was his first day here as well. We went into a full game after a morning of physically tough training drills, where I was partnered with Are Burheim in midfield. We worked really well together, I sat in the 'Makelele' role, where as he pushed forward more. Half-Brazillian/Englishman Bullardinho scored a few goals for us, he never gave up on a play and seemed to finish every chance that came at him. His goals were mainly the source of Swede Patrick Lijenqvist, who could see the game better than anyone.

As we were walking back into the changing rooms that afternoon after one of the best days of my life, we could see the 1st team training a few pitches across. It was tough to make out, but I could just about see coach Frank de Boer talking to Jasper Cillesen and Anwar El Ghazi. No matter how much I loved my first day with the youth squad with the mates I have made, I couldn't help but dream about playing with them one day.

For my first season in professional football I have to say I am pretty happy, I feel like my game has improved across the board, I feel fitter and stronger and with every game I am gaining more and more confidence. I am scoring consistently for the under 19’s and I am sure it’s just a matter of time before the Gaffer notices me and gives me my chance in the first team. I even got my first taste of Reserve action although that didn’t go as well for me, I am not going to let that knock my confidence though, I am happy with my own development and I know that if I carry on working hard and improving my game, when I am ready to make the step up, I will take Ajax by storm!
