4 clubs that are similar: Feyenoord, Sporting CP, Southampton, Lyon ?

I reckon we could look 4 similar statured clubs such as the Saints (as seems to be a pretty clear favourite) Lyon or Marseille, Zenit St Petersburg and possiblies Wolfsburg.

However I am really not fussed on the teams as I think regadless this will turn out brilliant!
 
Not trying to hijack the thread but seeing as there is more interest than places in this game I will set another up later on, similar to this 12 places, -9 PA, 4 teams etc but rather than teams with good youth academies it will be at teams that are fallen giants. Got a few things to do first so keep an eye out in a few hours.

No worries, fine by me mate. I am willing to add a few more spots but if the interest continues and we get into the 20's then I will just be taking on more work than I can commit too anyway!

Please, as if a poster that goes by the name 'epic terrorist' isn't trying to 'hijack' this thread. Take your extremism someplace else!! :P
 
Having read through everyone's suggestion for clubs, it looks like the likes of Southampton, Sporting, Feyenoord, Stuttgart are peoples preference. The only thing I would say, and this is only my personal opinion is that it doesn't offer the aspect of starting from the bottom, as with my 'Bullardinho' story and most of the others that have recently started up, they all start from the lower leagues of England, Australia etc and want to see if their player can get noticed and get that big break, is that not what people would prefer? As I say that's just my take on it :)

I'm not bothered where I start it'll be fun either way.

Whether you can start lower down and reach the top or whether you can become another star from a recognised academy and make it to the top

I think that would be a good shout, Could help the development aswell as we would have more of a chance for first team football before any big moves!

Could look at Gateshead, Paris FC( French 3rd division ), Hansa Rostock (German 3rd division) and maybes even a Scottish team such as Stranrear, All lower league teams and good give a good footing to get started!
 
So much choice to choose! I do like the sound of lower leagues, Think it would give a bit more excitement! Could we maybes put a list of a few teams together and then set up a poll for people to vote and then the top 4 most popular teams are the teams we would choose?

I think that may be the best idea, I have no idea how to create a poll though haha!
