This was a really good win to get back on track after dropping points in our last three. We made it difficult for ourselves by conceding a consolation goal late on, but we were able to hold on for the win.

27th November

Warrington draw West Ham at home in the FA Cup 3rd round

A really pleasing result. I'm still amazed at how far Man City have fallen over the course of ten years. There's a chance they could go down at this rate!

1st December

As we are doing so well financially, the board have given me a little more to spend in January. That's great news as that'll mean that I can improve the squad massively.

We got lucky, no doubt about it. The only reason why Southampton didn't score was that Edoardo Ferrone was absolutely superb in goal for us.

My first time back to Goodison Park and it was nice to receive a good reception. The result was a great one for us as we shut out my former team to claim a point at Goodison Park.

A 2-0 win against Tottenham means that we're into the semi-final of the Carabao Cup. I honestly think we can go on and win it if we play to our potential.

Given that Sheffield United haven't won a game all season and sit bottom, I was disappointed by the margin of victory. That said, three points are better than none so I'll take it.

1st January

We started awfully, going a goal down but the sending off changed the game. After the sending off, we dominated the game to put one foot in the final, thanks to a 4-1 win.

We absolutely battered Leicester before letting them back into it right at the end. I honestly thought that we could blow it but thankfully we hung on for all three points.

We never quit. Liverpool controlled the game in terms of possession but chances wise it was a pretty even game as we played on the counter. An unfortunate slip saw us go behind to a penalty and it looked like we were done until Romario Teja powered a header home in stoppage time. I'll happily take a point.

Another late goal but this time it won us all three points at Norwich. It would have been a travesty if we didn't score as we were the better side all game. A vital three points.

Really disappointing. We started well, taking the lead but the red card really changed the game. After the break, we just couldn't live with United and their extra man and they cruised to a 3-1 win.

We got so lucky at Burnley! Am I complaining? Not a chance. There's no way we deserved to win that game but it was a HUGE three points for us in the race for the Champions League.

With Arsenal and Chelsea contesting the Europa League final and Man United in the Champions League final, we knew we had to win against 3rd place Arsenal to secure Champions League qualification. Thankfully, the lads put on a superb performance, capped by Joe Gelhardt scoring four to send us into the Champions League! What a day, what a season!

15th May

Great news as the board announce plans to further upgrade our facilities and expand the stadium capacity.

20th May

Wait, what? Why expand when you're selling up. This is very confusing.

Freddy Godoy joins Juventus on loan

The perfect start to the season. Joe Gelhardt picked up from where he left off last season, scoring a hat-trick to give us all three points away at Burnley.

12th August

Ian Hudson joins Konyaspor for a fee of 11m

A disappointing result to be honest but it was good to see Flavio score his first goals for the club. We need to improve a bit more defensively but I think that'll come once we get further into the season.

For an hour it was an open game with neither team really taking the game by the scruff of the neck. However, on the hour mark, we did that, scoring a quickfire double which was eventually enough to seal us all three points.

This was always going to be a tough game against the team currently occupying the top spot in the Premier League. Luckily for us, we were able to take our chances and steal all three points.

A really good win in the Premier League against Tottenham. We raced out of the traps, scoring in the first minute before grabbing a second to kill the game in the second half. It could have been a lot different had Tottenham had scored their penalty though.

A great start to our first ever Champions League campaign. To be honest, we could have quite easily scored more but the three points is all that matters.

We were poor in the first half away at Villa but a stern talking to at half time worked and we came out well in the second half, turned the game around and went home with all three points.

I rotated the side for our Carabao Cup game against West Brom and it was very much a case of 'job done' at the end. We battered them and the scoreline flattered them.

With it being the Carabao Cup, I decided to change the formation and experiment a bit. Unfortunately, it backfired and Man United knocked us out. Back to 4-4-2 it is.

We went a goal down against Palace and that served as a wake-up call for the lads. After that, we dominated and we eventually got the win.
