Third time lucky

Arsenal 2 QPR 2
Giroud (2)

Chelsea won as did Liverpool so we are now 2nd with a point separating us from the teams either side. We face Cardiff the team that beat us on the final day last season. Chelsea visit Palace who are already relegated.

Arsenal 3 Cardiff 1
Walcott (2), Cazorla

We won the game and had to wait for the load screen to show the other scores, it was definitely nervy but would you believe it Palace won 1-0 Nd we seal the title for the second consecutive season.

My next entry will show the ins and outs and have a look at the squad for the next season.

Players Out:
GK: Damien Martinez - The 23 year old goalkeeper made 0 starts during my time in charge despite spending the final season of his Arsenal career in the senior squad.

Mid: Ryo Miyachi - Never made an appearance under my leadership, spent his time out on loan. He was entering the final season of his contract and decided to cash in.

Miyachi left for HSV in a deal worth £1.5M

Oxlade Chamberlain - Had a cracking first season whilst I was in charge ultimately finishing as the player of the season for the Premier League however a bid came in which was too good to turn down from league rivals Manchester City.

Playing record under me: Appearances 67 (31), Goals 24, Assists 24, MOM: 7

Those figures are relatively impressive, almost 100 appearances in my first two seasons meaning Oxlade Chamberlain is the first key player to leave the club.

Att: Michy Batshuayi - Another one of my first season signings to leave, his signing was not one approved of by the fans and because of Bendtner's first season form never broke through and spent the second season out on loan.

Playing record under me: Appearances 1 (1)
View attachment 347493Signed in the first January transfer window for his minimum fee release clause for £6.75M sold for a small profit of £8.25M.

Nicklas Bendtner - Had requested a move during the second season, he had limited opportunities in the second season despite his impressive first season showing. Despite him later withdrawing his request he was always a player I was looking to move on in this window.

Playing record under me: Appearances 35 (14), Goals 29, Assists 9, MOM: 6
29 goals in 49 appearances means that I am need of a new goalscorer as a ratio of over 1 goal every 2 matches is impressive.

Joel Campbell - Spent the first season out on loan but after a good World Cup in real life I decided to give him an opportunity second season, unfortunately broke his leg early doors and missed most of the remainder of the season.

Playing record under me: Appearances 4 (4), Goals 2, Assists 1, MOM: 1

Players IN:

Jese - With a potential of 4 and a half stars the Real Madrid striker is in his early 20s and can also play as an attacking midfielder left, right or centre. Asked the board to deal with this transfer and they secure his services in a deal worth £23.5M.

Matija Nastasic - Another player in his early 20s with a potential of 4 and a half stars. This time it's a CB from Manchester City in a deal worth £17.5M
View attachment 347489
Fernando - Signed from Shaktar for £16M, the defensive midfielder isn't going to develop much more and has relatively consistent and solid stats without being outstanding, signed as cover for Bender. Will probably only play for a season or two, but could turn out to be a necessary signing.

Emre Can - signed from Leverkusen for £11.25M, just one week after they tried to get me to pay £111 Million for him and wouldn't budge on that fee. A potential of 4.5 stars he should be better than Bender and Fernando and can also play left back but is weaker in the position than Shaw and Nastasic. So time will tell on his impact on the team.

Andreas Holzinger - A right or left back/ wing back this regen came for the princely sum of £6.25K and has a potential of 4 stars, if nothing else should be able to make a healthy profit on him in a season or two.

For a team who won the Premier League the past two seasons our players have not been coveted by many. I tried to sell the following players and had no offers over half their value for any of them: Gibbs, Sagna, Vermaelen, Mertesacker and Podolski. Varane had asked to be sold due to lack of first team appearances but I see him, Nastasic and Koscielny as my three rotating centre backs so I tried to negotiate for high fees which led to no sales and him eventually withdrawing his transfer request.

My Squad.
