I tried to create a Tiki Taka Tactic (Barca Style) i really like the way they're playing

I'd appreciate if there are some suggestions what could make this tactic even better (High Possession , many passes, creating CCC etc..)

Feedback is highly appreciated and wanted. And please feel free to modify the Tactic and post it in this thread (H)

I decided to plug this in, it is low fluidity and I'm against Man City away using Liverpool. I won 2-0 dominating possession and creating some great chances. I'm liking the way this is going.

Hi. i will give this a go as i was recently trying to do something very similar with Liverpool. i wanted a kind of tiki taka experience but wanted to be able to implement it with lesser teams. more in the way Swansea did. the formation used was identical other than one of the midfielders i had as a half back. anyway it was ok, average really. possession was fine we just weren't creating enough. was going to post on here for help with it but scrapped it in the end. so really looking forward to trying this out, maybe as Liverpool or spurs, and see how it works out. will let you know. nice work

Tried it for one game last night and looked really good, gonna try more tonight. Surprised a tactic with that many playmaker works, been trying to do the same but never worked.

going to test with mufc now. do you make any changes in game to protect a lead etc?

not really , but sometimes i changed mentality to 'counter' or 'defense' .. but not to protect the lead , just to try if i get more passes from it lol

I tested for 7 matches so far. Unbeaten, with 2 draws. The first tactic that made me win the first 3 games. Though they're against small teams but still. Possession is very high. But very low CCCs. The 4th game is a draw with Watford equalizing at the last minute and I think that's because I made wrong changes to protect the lead.

However it seems this tactic is better at home as both the draws are in away games. I did not concede during the 4 home games but conceded 4 goals in 3 away games.

I'm gonna test more, finishing the season with this tactic and see how it does with bigger teams because all the 7 matches are against small team. The only big team left to play is ManCity and Tottenham though. I hope this tactic does well so that I can finally start a proper save..

do you any tweaks during the game?

yes , like i said i change mentality from standard to defense or counter when i'm leading 3 or 4-0 .. doesnt bring much tho ... but besides that i dont change nothing

I advise not to do that, because you should control the match on their half and not on yours.

I mean this because I actually have done a tactic just like this with some different things, but overall it uses the 3 play-makers on the midfield with high pressing and the fullbacks with narrow play. This type of tactics are pure possession and score goals through one-two's and patient passes, so you should always try to keep this game-plan without retrieving your players to your own goal.

Another tip for people that seem to score less (home and away) is to take out the instructions on keeping possession and work ball into box. Doing this will make your players run faster and pass "faster" towards the goal, but with the cost on the possession by usually 5-10%. If the opponent is parking the bus, which happens a lot on this year FM, change the instructions on the fullbacks to play wider, but don't change the width of the whole team. This will allow the team to get more spaces on the middle.

Congrats on the tactic, its nice to see people trying a pure possession approach on their tactics

Out of 15 games, 10W4D1L Of course the only 1 lost had to be the FA Cup semi final :/ I tweaked the corner and free kick setting though. It is very solid defensively but lacking goals. 3 of my draws are 0-0. From your screenshots that shows huge GD I guess you must have scored a lot. I'm gonna try alucas13's advice and see if it solve my lack of goals problem.

When I was watching the match, I noticed the wing backs always getting robbed out of possession when they are at the edge of the penalty area trying to pass the ball so I changed their instruction from cross less often to cross more often. Will that affect the tactic badly? Because from only few matches that I changed that I can't seem to spot the difference.

On another note, Nathaniel Clyne seems to be playing extremely well, became the player with the highest average ratings in the EPL and almost always getting MoM with this tactic and I don't even know why because he don't really assist that much lol

I think it's an ME issue that WB's or IF's ,Wingers etc... running to the byline and waiting to get tackled ... its very annoying to watch sometimes when you see they got many opportunities to pass the ball but they keep dribbling to the byline and then they are waiting or shooting ... (idiotic) like i said i don't mind if people share their versions of my tactic (with tweaks etc) . I did not spend too much time with the corner and free kick settings
