As England took on Holland, with a weakend squad due to injury, nobody knew what to expect. A tough game was all that many could guarantee.
The first half started slow, with niether team looking to risk attacking the opposition, and this clearly showed. The second half, it seemed Carter has pushed Gareth Barry into ACM instead of DM, and within 1 minute of the restart, James Milner struck home from 25 yards.
A few Holland attacks later put a little pressure on England, before a quick passing Counter Attack set England away for Defoe to complete the game with a 2-0 victory for Carter in his first game.
