With the prospect of Champions League football, Everton announced that 4,000 new seats were built at Goodison Park over the summer.
In transfer news,
Marcus Hahnemman has left Everton on a free transfer, joining fellow Premiership side QPR.
8th
Everton's first piece of Transfer business comes a week into the window, with two players departing Goodison Park. Goalkeeper
Jan Mucha has joined Italian side Brescia for £1.2m after spending most of the time on the bench last season.

Sylvain Distin has made the switch from Everton to Stoke City for a fee of £800k. The French veteran featured 31 times last season for Everton, notching one goal, but was deemed unnessecary in Billy Ray's plans.

Everton have announced their first two signings of the summer. 26 year old belgian international goalkeeper
Logan Bailley signs from German side Borussia Monchengladbach for a shockingly low fee of £525k. With two goalkeepers leaving the club this season, Logan seemed a perfect fit to challenge Tim Howard between the sticks.
The second signing is Colombian international
Fredy Guarin, who signs from Porto for £1.4m. The 26 year old was on the transfer list at Porto, and has Champions League experience with Porto, and last season, on loan at Inter Milan.

Leon Osman has left Goodison Park after 11 years as a professional player. The midfielder joins newly-promoted Birmingham City on loan, with the view of a permanent move.

Everton manager Billy Ray has been shopping in France this week, with announcing two new signings. Right-back
Christophe Jallet signs for £1.3m from Paris St Germain, while
Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa signs from Montpellier for £5m.
"If we are going to compete in Europe, we need a solid defensive line and we didn't have that in my opinion. We've got Phil & Tony who are both in their 30's, and are not at the fitness levels to play weekly, so when I saw these two fantastic defenders, with European experience, were available, I jumped at the oppurtunity" - Billy Ray

Everton have announced two new signings, both joining on season long loans. Manchester United & England striker
Danny Welbeck joins to bolster Everton's striking options. Chelsea's promising Belgian midfielder
Kevin De Bruyne signs following the departure of Leon Osman.
Everton have also announced
Seamus Coleman has joined Queens Park Rangers on a season long loan, with a view of a permanent deal.
