Frenkie de Jong to #mufc is being held up by about £17m he is owed in deferred salary payments. United and Barcelona are working to resolve the issue because it is a major barrier to him being signed for an agreed £56.2m plus add-ons fee. [@JamieJackson___]

@UtdDistrict

There remains confidence at #mufc that Frenkie de Jong will be signed despite the issue but there is a recognition that patience is required. The player is looking forward to playing under his former manager [@JamieJackson___]

Enlighten me then, please.

You had Salah who was unhappy with his contract and willing to leave if he didn't get what he wanted, and then you have FdJ who's unhappy with with his contract and willing to leave if he doesn't get what he wants. Yeah, two completely different scenarios.

And I'm so happy for you to know ALL the insights from both Liverpool and United. After all, you are noticing some person from Twitter.

🤣🤣🤣 Mate, come on now. Utd conduct their business atrociously in a VERY open public manner. Before you even get to the lived trstimony of continued leaks.

You don't need Twitter for that. You just don’t need to burry your head in the sand.

We aren’t trying to sign a player who doesn’t want to be there to start with. BIG difference.

He could have quite happily left in a years time after 6 years stellar service. The fact we’ve found a middle ground to bump him with a heavilly bonus incentivised contract within our structure that suits everyone is immaterial to that. Byyour open reckoning, he deserved to be paid parity with his peers across the World and you’d have put him on far more than he agreed. Ala de Jong. Just pay him.

There’s no comparison what so ever and its mad you’re even equating the two.

Tbh mate. While I agree with some of this. I don’t agree with the leaks part. Not anymore anyway. Fulham’s deal was swift with Periera. Malacia was out of nowhere. And with no news on his wages at all yet which is unheard of for Utd. Yes these are a small sample size (under a new structure) and hopefully this continues!

Also I’m not 100% convinced FDJ doesn’t want to come here either. Especially if ETH has spoke with him. But it’s annoying how it’s dragging out. Mainly no fault of our own for once. Can’t believe there is a club being run as bad as ours has been!

@JacobsBen
Youri Tielemans update. Told Tielemans is more likely than Sergej Milinković-Savić for Arsenal. No truth yet in any bid, though. Man United’s interest is growing and could finally provoke formal offers from both clubs. Tielemans wants Arsenal. But as yet nothing tabled to #LCFC.

You can say the same for pretty much every club then. You know 90% of any club targets before they conduct the business

The only difference here is that you cannot comprehend that wanting to stay is not equal as not wanting to play anywhere else. Hence the Salah reference.

And he would if you didn't pay him correctly. Just like de Jong will if Barca don't pay him.

How dare you do bring in the Holy Grail that is Salah

Edson Álvarez is allowed to leave for a €30M offer but it looks like the Mexican midfielder is set to STAY at least until January. due to the upcoming World Cup. [@MikeVerweij]

Brian Brobbey's agent is working hard to find a construction for an agreement with RB Leipzig who are now demanding €25M for the striker. Those who saw Brobbey walking on the training pitch at RB Leipzig know that his head and thoughts are in Amsterdam. [@MikeVerweij]

Head.

Sand.

BURIED!

But if it helps you rationalise things, all power to you.

I think you're projecting a bit.

Every generation is the same. They couldnt comprehend when Gerrard hand in transfer request, Suarez is racist? No way, ya'll just haters. And now with Salah. Sooner or later they all see the truth.

The meeting between Todd Boehly and Barcelona board for Azpilicueta, Marcos Alonso and other topics is scheduled in the coming hours. #CFC Boehly will directly take care of the negotiations as always - both Azpi and Alonso have an agreement with Barça. Up to Chelsea now.

@Plettigoal
Update de Ligt: Nothing has changed. He ONLY wants to join Bayern NOW! Talks are positive. Salihamidzic has had a good and respectful meeting with Juve‘s Cherubini. A first official offer from Bayern is being prepared and could be presented in the next few days. @SkySportDE
