Watching this Mount situation unfold at first L'pool, and now Utd, has been mind blowing. And by 'unfold', I mean on SM .....
I totally get why anyone would baulk at the price. We were seemingly told at least £60 million for Chelsea to talk after agreeing with him and turned straight around and said
'See yer later!' Chelsea are being totally unrealistic with a player who only has a year left on his contract. Let alone one who isn't even a regular.
That's all sound and a valid argument for not buying him. But it's the many L'pool and Utd fans who don't want him for any amount that amuses me.
Personally think he's a belter talent who's shone despite being stifled by defensive minded managers at Chelsea. Technically sound. Position versatile with the intelligence to play anywhere across the midfield and look as good in any position you put him in. Ptogressive, forward think player always playing off the front foot with a real knack for arriving late and getting on the end of things. Pressing monster. His stats are superb where it matters for a midfielder. (What was it the year before last? Double figure goals and assists? Special numbers that for anyone.). And he seems a genuinely nice, well grounded lad.
Many madly don't want him at either club, but I just don't get why you wouldn't want one of England's best young players if you had a chance of him?
