Two more deals completed in Serie A today. #transfers Sassuolo have confirmed the signing of Agustín Álvarez from Peñarol for €12m - could be Scamacca’s replacement.

Inter have completed Kristjan Asllani deal - Albanian midfielder joins for €14m total value deal.

1.6 billion in debt and still owe most there squad huge chunks of wages from last season. Some players like Pique still to receive 80% Andy Mitten reported. Honestly worse run club in football. This deal alone doesn’t make sense as they will lose yearly revenue in the long run.
Yeah, this is a short term fix that will net them around 700m euros. They need to pay around 500m euros immediately so they can operate in the transfer market. The leftovers are for transfer fees and wages. With paying off 500m they are finally able to operate with 1:1 rule. They were in 1:3 rule for a long time and it was hurting them badly. ( 1:3 rule is you can spend 1/3 of what you owned through the transfers, so if they sold Frenkie de Jong for 100m, they can only use 33m from it. With 1:1, they can use whole 100m).

Also they have a buy back clause in the contract so they can get that 25% of TV rights back. This was probably the only probable solution besides selling the whole team at discount and playing with La Masia players. And still it's a bad one.

#MUFC & #FCB remain about €20m apart in their valuations of Frenkie de Jong United only club seriously in for him Barca need to raise funds & ease wage bill Eriksen interest not tied to De Jong. United could sign Eriksen even if they get FdJ

#mufc have presented an offer to Christian Eriksen and could still sign him as a free agent, even if Frenkie de Jong joins the club. Erik ten Hag wants an injection of quality in that area of the pitch following midfield departures. [@TelegraphDucker]

Paris Saint-Germain have reached an agreement on personal terms with Portuguese midfielder Vitinha. He’s Luís Campos priority for the midfield - talks now in progress with Porto.

#PSG He’s considered a “top player” for present and future by PSG. More to follow soon.

Vitinha deal. Paris Saint-Germain are closing on final details with FC Porto after agreement on personal terms with Vitinha and his agents. #PSG

Manchester United have never been interested in Vitinha. No bid, no talks and not mentioned internally by Erik ten Hag. #MUFC

Sources say there is a gap at present of between €10 million to €15 million in guaranteed money from #mufc's proposal to Barcelona’s demands for Frenkie de Jong after more advancements in talks last night. The move is led by John Murtough #mujournal [@lauriewhitwell]

Barcelona are so far steadfast in holding out for their desired price - €80 m. Joel Glazer & Arnold are absolutely not involved in negotiations but are being kept abreast of updates and have final sign-off #mufc #mujournal [@TheAthleticUK]

Sources say #mufc this week made a check call to Brighton on Bissouma before his transfer to Spurs emerged. But Bissouma was not regarded as a serious candidate to pursue at this stage. And issues with his pending charges played a roll. De Jong is the box-to-box midfielder Ten Hag wants #mujournal [@lauriewhitwell]

@FabrizioRomano
Mario Götze has three proposals on the table: Eintracht Frankfurt pushing, Benfica with Schmidt on it and Inter Miami in MLS. He's gonna decide very soon, matter of days.

#transfers All these clubs are prepared to trigger the release clause into his PSV contract for €4m.

Spoke to several people close to Barcelona last night, all of whom felt Frenkie De Jong transfer to #mufc is an inevitability. But there’s a poker game going on; United know Barcelona still need cash, Barca know United are under pressure from fans.

And, fwiw, there’s plenty of people at other clubs who think #mufc have played this smartly so far to get a fair price. They know they have a coach FDJ wants to move to, know Barca need to sell to sign the players they want and they need to sign 4/5 more players so need to protect there own budget.

Even once Fabio Vieira has signed, Gabriel Jesus AND Raphina remain targets for Arsenal. Interest in Ajax defender Lisandro Martinez, which I mentioned earlier today, also intensifying. More on that, plus Tielemans/Xhaka, on @TheAthleticUK

Update #Laimer: Leipzig received no offer from FC Bayern so far. There is still no contact between the clubs. RB plans with him. Concrete talks between the player and Leipzig about his future after his vacation. Leipzig will say NO for offers around €19-21m! @SkySportDE
