Equally, one of the all time knobheads who’s **** all over every last player, coach and fan at Utd within a year of taking the only thing he came back for to start with. That humongous contract.

They’ll sell de Jong ultimately. Thats not in question. Heck, Munich were talking yeaterday they won’t take any instalments for the Pole as they fear Barcelona might not exist long enough to pay them! They are that F financially a sale has never been in question.

But I wouldn’t be happy personally at all were I a Utd fan knowing he didn’t want to come to start with (and I have no doubt he’ll be professional and give his all when he is there), it’ll probably take the whole window, and the financial package he’ll get to both sweeten him coming and subsidising that mess in Catalonia.

But thats where you’re at as a club and if that ‘s fine with you then sound.

Its an interesting take to say the least. Its not that he doesn't want to play for United, its just his favorite club is Barcelona and they are forcing him out. Ask yourself how would you feel if in similar situation. And there isn't any financial package to cover Barca's mess with his salary. And there won't be over the top salary for FdJ. He's going to be paid fairly.

Its also funny that you're ecstatic that Salah signed the new contract that is putting him heads and shoulders above anyone else at your club, after effectively saying "pay me or I'm leaving on a free next season". Point is - he was open to leave Liverpool because he was treated unfairly.
If Barca weren't such a mess of a club, FdJ would never even consider joining some other club. Thank **** they are.
 
Jesus. If you are honestly comparing Salah to de Jong in any facet, you’ve completely lost the plot mate.

And we’d never have been in this situation to ask ourselves anything with de Jong. As if a player isn’t 100% committed to joining, they move on. That’s the difference of where both clubs currently are at.

But if you’re happy with that, and what will doubtless be WELL North of £300 K P/W as being ‘paid fairly’ and not the only way to compensate him to come, fair play to you.
 
#mufc have agreed an outline fee with Barcelona for Frenkie de Jong and had hoped to have him signed prior to leaving on tour. Discussions are continuing with De Jong very OPEN to joining United, amid regular talks with Erik ten Hag. [Simon Jones, Mail]

You had Salah who was unhappy with his contract and willing to leave if he didn't get what he wanted, and then you have FdJ who's unhappy with with his contract and willing to leave if he doesn't get what he wants. Yeah, two completely different scenarios.

And I'm so happy for you to know ALL the insights from both Liverpool and United. After all, you are noticing some person from Twitter.

We aren’t trying to sign a player who doesn’t want to be there to start with. BIG difference.

He could have quite happily left in a years time after 6 years stellar service. The fact we’ve found a middle ground to bump him with a heavilly bonus incentivised contract within our structure that suits everyone is immaterial to that. Byyour open reckoning, he deserved to be paid parity with his peers across the World and you’d have put him on far more than he agreed. Ala de Jong. Just pay him.

There’s no comparison what so ever and its mad you’re even equating the two.

Tbh mate. While I agree with some of this. I don’t agree with the leaks part. Not anymore anyway. Fulham’s deal was swift with Periera. Malacia was out of nowhere. And with no news on his wages at all yet which is unheard of for Utd. Yes these are a small sample size (under a new structure) and hopefully this continues!

Also I’m not 100% convinced FDJ doesn’t want to come here either. Especially if ETH has spoke with him. But it’s annoying how it’s dragging out. Mainly no fault of our own for once. Can’t believe there is a club being run as bad as ours has been!

Youri Tielemans update. Told Tielemans is more likely than Sergej Milinković-Savić for Arsenal. No truth yet in any bid, though. Man United’s interest is growing and could finally provoke formal offers from both clubs. Tielemans wants Arsenal. But as yet nothing tabled to #LCFC.

The only difference here is that you cannot comprehend that wanting to stay is not equal as not wanting to play anywhere else. Hence the Salah reference.

Tottenham are set to sign Clément Lenglet from Barcelona, here we go! Loan deal agreed, valid until June 2023 - Lenglet already accepted last week, personal terms agreed #THFC Clubs still in contact on final details - there’s no option to buy clause included, as of now.
