VDV missed penalty

Missed Tottenham penalty: I'm not sure about this penalty in the first place. It's given when Peter Wisgergof tangles with Peter Crouch in the area and, although there is definitely holding going on, it is by both players by the look of it. Anyway, it's given and, after a delay caused by Nikolay Mihaylov time-wasting, Rafael van der Vaart is the man to take it... He steps up is denied by a brilliant Mihaylov save, with the keeper diving to his right to push it around the post.

From bbc

He jumped at least a foot off his line to narrow the angle whilst saving the penalty.

5th official should have caught it, and there was also 2-3 FC Twente players encroaching into the box.

It should have been retaken.

It's 0-0 at half-time, if anyone is interested.

I wonder if you'd still be saying that had VdV scored :P

How do you make up for missing a penalty? Like this, that's how. Tom Huddlestone's deep cross is headed down by Peter Crouch and Rafael van der Vaart controls the ball on his chest before slamming in a powerful shot. Spurs have the lead, just seconds after the restart.

Tottenham 2-0 FC Twente (Pavlyuchenko)

Another penalty. It's like penalty heaven this week in the UCL.

3 at Arsenal. Two at WHL. 1 at Stamford Bridge.

Yeah ano , Buraspor should have had one at Rangers , Bet you are hoping for one in Valencia <)<)

Of course. I'll take any sort of goal if it means we score.

van der vaart red is what im hearing?!

Yes it's true what a night he is having :P:P

Described by BBC

Tottenham red card: More problems for Spurs. Rafael van der Vaart jumps into Roberto Rosales - needlessly and recklessly as they challenge for a high ball. That's a second yellow card for the Dutchman.
