If that pink tape is the same kind, it's the one Lance Armstrong and his teammate used to call the miracle tape. Apparently it makes almost all muscle pain go completely away, tendinitis is reduced greatly as well.

Yeah it's the same type apparently, Lance was one of the first users. Him and his US Postal team swore by that tape, they were covered in it when they rode in the Tour. In his book he claims Bruyneel asked if they could change the colour but the team refused! Must be psychological more than anything.
