Ferdandes is very very rich, but he is an business man, what ever he does, will make business sense, he isnt th kind of guy to throw millions randomly at a club.

Newcastle target Kevin Gameiro has told the Magpies he will respond to their transfer offer in the next couple of weeks according to reports in the North-East media
 
Newcastle today will most likely find out the outcome of the transfer bids for Kevin Gameiro and Gervinho. Gameiro, as you will know is preferring a move to Spain, but Newcastle are the only club to have formally bid for him, and the club will ask for an answer, or the bid will be withdrawn.

Gervinho is expected to make his choice in the next day or so, and Newcastle still remain favourites to land his signature.
 
Skysports.com can confirm that Sunderland have rebuffed an approach from Liverpool for midfielder Jordan Henderson.

Sunderland are also interested in Manchester United's Darron Gibson.

I thought Gervinho was going to make a decision after the ACON qualifier or something? Newcastle could land a double coup here. Clearly it pays to get in with early bids...

How old's Jonjo Shelvey? Isn't he meant to be a top prospect? Just seems strange to be buying a young English midfielder at this stage with Meireles and Lucas finding form, Shelvey (I thought) being a good prospect, Suso coming through the ranks, Gerrard still about etc. Is a CM really what you need? Would have thought it was more important to get a winger and a LB..

Rafinha for 5.5mil euros is a steal, Genoa played him out of position for most of the season. He was brilliant when he left Germany, in the top 3 right backs in the league that year. Good buy for Bayern
 
We need another central midfielder, but it really should be someone in the play making mould. Yes, Shelvey's good, but he can also play LB/RW/LW/ACM
