Just crazy! Well done on winning the league and winning the Champions League! Who would have seen it coming so quickly but it's good going. Well done mate, look forward to seeing how next season goes.
This summer was one of transition. I brought in a couple of players but sold loads and loads for a great profit.
Nothing else happened really. So without further ado I will introduce you to my new signings thus far.

PLAYERS IN
I brought in 2 players who will be playing regularly. Nicolas Alderete came in on a free transfer from Saint-Etienne and Franco Pagni came in from Juventus for £16.5m. View attachment 470923View attachment 470922
I sold so many players and some who played a load of games for us so its best to display it in a table. [TABLE="width: 500"]

* We received a £1.7m loan fee for Joel Ward last season so the loss was actually £1.5m
I also received £2.5m in loan fees for Huber, Gibbs, Bach and Fueyo while also going out on loan was Castrillon, Samassi, Wandzel and Milani while I released Souayah.
Obviously I am sad to see Jack Baldwin go so that leaves just Luke James and Darren Holden who has been through the whole journey with me.

SUMMARY
My first team is certainly stronger methinks but I will be changing things. Alderete will partner Chalobah at CB while I will push Schwartz back into CM, Khellaf into AMC and de Bruin will be a sub. Well thats the plan anyways.
Regarding my transfer dealings I have now spent a total of £160m and recouped £110m so that is a £50m deficit but considering I could sell Schwartz for nearly £50m I think I have done brilliantly financially.
We made a decent start to the season. Losing the Community Shield was disappointing but winning the European Super Cup and getting 4pts from 2 very tough league games was good.
In our defense of the Champions League we have been drawn against Benfica, Dynamo Kiev (again) and Maccabi Tel-Aviv.
Hartlepool United 3 (Khellaf 67, 84pen, 90) Southampton 0
Khellaf also missed a penalty before he scored his first goal!
--
UEFA Champions League Group B Benfica 0 Hartlepool United 1 (de Bruin 82)
We were magnificent here and deserved to win by four or five.
--
Capital One Cup 3rd Round Hartlepool United 1 (Pagni 70) Wigan Athletic 0
Another one nil win and this should have been 10-0!!!
--
Tottenham Hotspur 2 (Bale 28, Blower 87) Hartlepool United 2 (Marcelinho 8, James 60)
A good point - especially since they missed a penalty in injury time.
--
Hartlepool United 5 (de Bruin 8, 86, Khellaf 45, 75, Dimosthenous 64) Liverpool 3 (Allen 59, Sturridge 73, Santon 78)
WHAT A GAME!!!! Liverpool had a goal disallowed also.
A fantastic month. We started off playing really well and not getting the goals but banged a few in before the end of the month - most notably 5 against Liverpool. My decision to make de Bruin a sub and play Khellaf in AMC has worked out brilliantly as Khellaf is excelling and playing brilliantly.
UEFA European Championships Group I
Italy 2 (Gabbiadini 34, Pagni 90) Estonia 0
This win secures qualification for the Championships. Estonia missed a late penalty before Pagni came off the bench to score on his international debut.
UEFA Champions League Group B Hartlepool United 3 (Mahon 88, Alderete 90, Dimosthenous 90+3) Dynamo Kiev 1 (Petrov 7)
We had over 30 shots on goal in this game and completely dominated so it was a bit of a relief to score 3 goals in the final 5min!
--
Hartlepool United 2 (Connors 15, 45) West Ham United 0
--
Norwich City 1 (Delannoy 12) Hartlepool United 2 (Connors 57, Steele og76)
A good comeback victory but Malara got injured and will be out for 3-4 months.
--
UEFA Champions League Group B Maccabi Tel-Aviv 0 Hartlepool United 3 (Basic 5, Mahon 70, Mijatovic 90)
Easy enough for my backups.
--
Manchester United 2 (Reyes 37pen, Zuniga 41) Hartlepool United 0
Our first defeat of the season and we could have sneaked a draw but it wasnt to be.
--
Capital One Cup 4th Round Hartlepool United 4 (Mahon 23, 85, Alderete 36, Pagni 63pen)
Manchester City 2 (Mrak 17, Welch 88)
I took a risk and played my backups and they responded in fine style by getting the win against a strong Man City side.
5 wins and 1 defeat meant that this was a pretty decent month. I was able to give my youngsters and backups a few games too and that will continue over the next few months as the cup games pile up.
One thing amazed me during the month. After being called up by France several times and not getting a cap Kamel Khellaf has decided to accept a call up from Algeria! This affects us as he will miss games during the African Nations Cup but on the plus side for him he will have a good chance to be African Player of the Year.
Hartlepool United 2 (Dimosthenous 23, Khellaf 90) Newcastle United 0
Newcastle had an early goal disallowed and after that we took charge.
--
UEFA Champions League Group B Hartlepool United 4 (Basic 12, Pagni 19, 58pen, Mahon 51) Maccabi Tel-Aviv 1 (Gueta 83)
This win secures qualification and also means that my backups will play the final 2 group games.
--
Hartlepool United 2 (de Bruin 62, Khellaf 86pen)
Fulham 0
This could and should have been a biiger winning margin. We also had a goal disallowed. Connors got injured and will be out until the new year.
--
Everton 3 (Green 26, Duffy 67, Sako 83)
Hartlepool United 4 (James 6, Khellaf 46, Pagni 78, 79)
This was a thrilling match with 7 goals and a sending off. Khellaf once again ran the show for us while Pagni came off the bench to great effect.
--
Bolton Wanderers 0 Hartlepool United 1 (Chalobah 62)
--
UEFA Champions League Group B Hartlepool United 2 (Pagni 45, Basic 50) Benfica 1 (Pisano 18)
We were excellent here and thoroughly deserved the win. Pagni also missed a penalty.
--
Hartlepool United 3 (Dimosthenous 24, Basic 83, 88) Arsenal 1 (Benzia 54)
This was a great win and fate played a part. After the last game I auto picked the team and changed it to my liking but forgot to change my keeper and he saved a first half penalty.
A fantastic month as we won every game. Khellaf, Pagni and Basic were superb this month and in the case of the latter 2 they made up for the players they came in for in fine style.
Ambitious plans are afoot at Hartlepool though. I have agreed to sell 2 players to try and get 1 in and I still cant get the 1 in lol. Watch this space..........
Results wise this was fantastic but to make it even more sweet was the fact that we didnt have a single home game!!!! Our next game is away to title contenders Man City and that would make it a staggering 8 games in a row without a home game.
We have been drawn against AC Milan in the Champions League and Huddersfield in the FA Cup while my Italian side have been drawn against England, Republic of Ireland and Croatia for the Euros.
Manchester City 1 (Dede 2) Hartlepool United 0
Man City go 6pts clear of us (although we have a game in hand) with this win. We deserved at least a draw though.
--
Capital One Cup SF 1st Leg Manchester United 2 (Zuniga 47, 58) Hartlepool United 0
FFS!!! Once again we played well enough to draw or at least get an away goal but it was not to be.
--
Liverpool 2 (Schumacher 17, Allen 55)
Hartlepool United 1 (Dimosthenous 41)
AAAAGGGGHHHH!!!!!! We were brilliant here and just couldnt take our chances. Fortunately Man City only drew.
--
FA Cup 3rd Round Huddersfield Town 1 (Clough 89) Hartlepool United 2 (Basic 14, Mahon 74)
We sneak through here. We are finding goals hard to come by at present. Eagle-eyed readers will notice that I had their scorer on loan a few years back.
--
Hartlepool United 1 (Khellaf 66) Chelsea 0
A massive win this. Junior made his debut and assisted the goal. Chelsea sacked their manager immediately afterwards.
--
Capital One Cup SF 2nd Leg Hartlepool United 2 (Connors 58, Khellaf 70) Manchester United 1 (Reyes 39)
(Manchester United win 3-2 on aggregate)
Our lack of an away goal proved costly unfortunately. I always fancied winning the home leg but when they scored it was curtains.
--
FA Cup 4th Round Hartlepool United 2 (Mijatovic 47, Rugg 81)
Swansea City 1 (Platt 83)
--
Hartlepool United 4 (Connors 7. Junior 46, James 55, Khellaf 60) Tottenham Hotspur 0
A fantastic victory this. We have been threatening to thrash a team for a while and finally the big result came.
A frustrating month this. We lost some key games and exited from the Capital One Cup but we ended the month top of the league and having won our last 5 games.
There was a lot going on regarding transfers. Outgoing was Jan de Bruin (75/33) to AC Milan for £26m which gave us a £14m profit. Nicola Leali and Danilo Testi left to join Bologna for a total of £7.8m which was all profit and finally Rogerio Rotreir went to Cruzeiro for £625K.
I was raising the cash for a purpose though. I had long admired a player and after talking to the press about him etc he requested a transfer and I managed to get him - by spending a massive £54m!!!!
FEBRUARY Hartlepool United 2 (Connors 32, Khellaf 61) Reading 0
--
Southampton 0
Hartlepool United 2 (Mahon 6, Connors 14)
A very good win this as we struck twice early on to take control.
--
West Ham United 0 Hartlepool United 2 (James 7, Khellaf 86)
Another good away win and it was action packed. They missed a pen and we finished the game with 8 men as Marcelinho got sent-off and we had 2 players taken off injured having already made my subs.
--
Hartlepool United 4 (Khellaf 9, Connors 14, Basic 90, Chalobah 90+3) Aston Villa 1 (Zaha 26)
Another fine win although the 2 last minute goals added a bit of extra gloss to the scoreline.
--
FA Cup 5th Round Manchester City 1 (Mrak 66)
Hartlepool United 2 (Vergara 25, Connors 84)
WOOO!!!!! What a win! We were missing several players and to go to the cup holders and to come away with a win is a fantastic achievement.
--
UEFA Champions League 1st Round 1st Leg AC Milan 0 Hartlepool United 1 (Connors 58)
Our month just gets better and better!!!! We were poor out there and they battered us but somehow we came away with the away win and a clean sheet.
--
Hartlepool United 1 (Dimosthenous 74) Norwich City 0
An absolute belter of a month!!!! We won every game including away cup matches against Man City and AC Milan. We also managed to open up a 8pt lead in the title race so that looks as though it will be ours at the end of the season.
Just a side note - I got my copy of NHL 14 tonight (a day before the release date) so I will be playing that a lot now so updates may be less frequent.
Newcastle United 1 (de Bruin 58) Hartlepool United 2 (Khellaf 45, Schwartz 79)
Another win. Junior missed a penalty for us.
--
Hartlepool United 2 (Mahon 3, Connors 17) Manchester United 2 (Zuniga 60, 85)
This is not good enough. We absolutely battered them and somehow contrived to throw away a 2 goal lead.
--
UEFA Champions League 1st Round 2nd Leg Hartlepool United 2 (Khellaf 7, Junior 78) AC Milan 1 (Vergouwen 47) (Hartlepool United win 3-1 on aggregate)
Safely through but Khellaf got injured and is out for a month.
--
FA Cup QF Chelsea 2 (Filipe 17, Oscar 45) Hartlepool United 2 (Junior 32, 55)
A fair result I suppose. I just noticed that Chelsea's ground is called the Lampard Arena and they are managed by AVB again lol
--
Fulham1 (Morgan 14)
Hartlepool United 1 (Connors 42)
How Fulham managed to escape with a point is beyond me as we dominated the game from start to finish. Luke James had a goal disallowed too!
We did well this month. We got a few decent wins and when we didnt win we got a draw so we reamined unbeaten throughout. Injuries began to hit us though as the likes of Kean, Alderete, Chalobah and Khellaf all suffered injuries that will keep them out for a month or so.
The youth intake was **** poor unfortunately so my summer recruiting will have to be spot on. However after spending £54m on Junior my budget will more than likely be a lot lower. Having said that with the new stadium in place my match day revenue should double.
I forgot to take a screenie of the league table
APRIL
UEFA Champions League QF 1st Leg FC Porto 1 (Cheryshev 47) Hartlepool United 1 (Connors 11)
A decent result as Porto have a really, really, really strong team. Littered with players valued at over £20m.
--
Arsenal 3 (Benzia 15, Ogliaro 65, Vydra 90+3) Hartlepool United 4 (Connors 6, Alderete 45, Vergara 85, James 90)
WOW!!! A great game this in a surprising win. Alderete got sent-off too! Before the game I decided to trainup Vergara as an AMC (he has no liking to it so far whatsoever) as he is too good to let go. He played there and shone!!!!!
--
UEFA Champions League QF 2nd Leg Hartlepool United 4 (Connors 47, 50, Kopric 69, Junior 89) FC Porto 2 (Silva 66, Quintero 90)
(Hartlepool United win 5-3 on aggregate)
Another game with a load of goals. We also had one disallowed.
--
Aston Villa 2 (Guidetti 42, 68) Hartlepool United 2 (Junior 49, Pagni 66)
They only had 3 shots and scored all 3 but fortunately one was disallowed. We ripped them to shreds but couldnt find the winner.
--
FA Cup QF Replay Hartlepool United 4 (Connors 12, 19, 67, Junior 84) Chelsea 3 (Arnold 4, Filipe 6, Musa 37)
A magnificent victory considering we were 2-0 and 3-2 behind.
--
FA Cup SF
Hartlepool United 3 (Mahon 32, Junior 55, Shaw 58) Manchester United 3 (Zuniga 3, 13, Vorontsov 23) (AET Hartlepool United win 4-2 on penalties)
What a comeback!!!! We quickly went 3-0 down here, undeservedly, but managed to get one back before half-time. Rafael got sent-off for them on 53mins and we were level 5min later but couldnt find the winner. Once again we kept our nerve in the penalty shoot-out.
--
UEFA Champions League SF 1st Leg Hartlepool United 1 (Pagni 34) Manchester United 1 (Shachkov 78)
Not a great result but considering I was forced to rest 9 starters then it wasnt a bad result either I suppose.
--
Hartlepool United 1 (Rugg 89) Stoke City 0
I decided to give my first choice players a rest again here and my backups did the job well. This win secures Champions League football for us next year.
--
UEFA Champions League SF 2nd Leg Manchester United 1 (Hughes 76) Hartlepool United 2 (Connors 3, 24) (Hartlepool United win 3-2 on aggregate)
Into the final we go!!!! There was great relief when we cancelled out their away goal so early on and from then on we dominated. Connors had his hat-trick goal disallowed too.
Another fantastic month with plenty of goals scored (22 for, 16 against) as we made progress into both the FA Cup and Champions League finals. We are also 4pts away from winning the title!!!!
We will play Sunderland in the FA Cup final so that should be easy enough and Valencia will be our opponents in the Champions League final after they knocked out Juventus.
Hartlepool United 1 (Junior 44) Cardiff City 0
Nearly there.......
--
Hartlepool United 2 (Rugg 20, Pagni 58) Bolton Wanderers 0
CHAMPIONS!!!!! I gave the youngsters a run out and they secured the title and sent Bolton down. We had Rugg sent-off and they had 2 men sent-off.
--
FA Cup Final Sunderland 0 Hartlepool United 5 (Khellaf 43, Connors 64, 68, 72pen, Shaw 89)
A magnificent victory and performance. Everyone did their bit - even Kean as he saved a penalty from Balotelli.
--
Wolverhampton Wanderers 1 (**** 30) Hartlepool United 4 (Mahon 4, 18, Vergara 33, Tucker 57)
Not bad from my backups!!!
--
UEFA Champions League Final Hartlepool United 2 (Connors 27, 55, 89)
Valencia 1 (Pituca 76)
WE RETAIN THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE!!!!!
We were excellent here and fully deserved the win. Connors had a goal disallowed too as he celebrated his new contract. Bad news however was that we injured their main player Dell'Aquila who is my first choice striker for Italy lol.
A successful final month it is safe to say. We retained the Premiership and the Champions League and we also picked up the FA Cup too!!!! I am, maybe surprisingly so, more proud of our FA Cup win as we had to beat Man City, Chelsea and Man Utd away from Victoria Park.
As always my players transfer values have soared. Connors to £21m, Mahon to £18m and more annoyingly Basic to £12m as he is off to Russia for £11m in the pre-season lol (hence why he has hardly played the last 2 months)
Another hugely successful season. Only the Capital One Cup and Community Shield evaded us. The league was fairly comfortable in the end although it was precarious in the new year. The FA Cup was won the hard way in getting there but the easy way in the final.
Finally in the continental competitions we were really strong and won all 3 trophies.
As for next season the new stadium is the major change and I dont envisage that there will be too much personnel changes. Maybe a case of promoting players rather than bringing some in.

Fantastic season, well done. As a Pools fan who is in the middle of my own Pools save (just won league one) I was wondering could you show some screenies of how Baldwin, James and Holden turned out for you, thanks
