Mate, there's no such thing like "AI cracks tactics".

The reason why you get difference performance in second season could be one of these:

1) Consistency of tactic you use. Yes, one season is really small sample to suggest about strength of the tactic, it should be used at least 3+ seasons.

2) Changes in reputation of your team.

Every club has reputation. It varies from 0 to 10 000. For example, bottom table clubs in EPL like Hull, Crystal Palace have about 6 000 reputation and top clubs like Man Utd, Man City have about 9 000.

AI decision about what approach and tactics to use against you depends from your reputation if you have 6 000 reputation then AI club will chose one approach if you have 9 000 then AI club will chose different approach and It really doesn't matter for AI how strong players in your team the only thing AI care about it's your reputation.

Let's say you start your career at Hull and make very good work on transfer market during the pre-season, you buy very good and very cheap players and strengthen your team and your team becomes much stronger and dangerous also you have good tactic but AI teams won't recognize it because your reputation haven't changed yet and because of it AI teams will be use reckless approaches and tactics against you and it will cost them dear and help you overachieve.

But everything will become normal in second because your reputation will change and AI teams will use more balanced and caution approaches/tactics against you, you will reveal your real strength and it will be real test for your tactic.

Thank you, I've read that as your reputation improves teams play more defensively against you so after your comment I suppose I pieced it together :).
 
I haven`t used the last two updates. Still using the one before with great results. Not sure I dare change tactic. Are the new tactics much better?
 
OK, I have no words to describe this tactic... Have been using for two seasons now, keepin' up with the updates and... AMAZING

My Newcastle team won the league without much effort, and the stats were truly amazing.

This season, so far, has been great too, despite heavy loss against Real Madrir (but with their squad, well, I'm not even mad!)

Btw, Riviere was a MACHINE in the first season, Golden Boot with 3 goals ahead. Great job!
 
Well, just been playing against Bangor City in the WPL, and i'd had 12 clear cut chances at HALF TIME.


Switched to waste time for the second half and didn't have any more, but wow, 12 CCC's in 45mins!

The Counter one mate. I sometimes switch to Waste Time once I get 2 up if i'm in a run where games come thick and fast to help the players conserve energy, and I always jump straight to Overload if I either go behind or i'm still drawing at half time.
 
Trying this with Southampton, they seem like the perfect squad to try it with since I have £50M to spend on LFC Marshalls, I got Isco for £20 Million (bargain :P)

EDIT: Completed my spending spree, half of my budget went on Isco, 25 percent on my defence (Williams, Umtiti, Dora and Balanta) And Carlos Fierro cost next to nothing as he handed in a transfer request. I'm amazed that I got Isco, but Madrid were keen to sell him because they had Rodriguez.

I used the filters for some of my signings but most of my first eleven fit into this tactic well.

if you find it hard to find players through filters here's what you can do there's an option "easy match conditions" in filters menu and you can "easy" match conditions by 1 condition in most cases it will double pool of player you can chose from but always pay attention what parameter is missing and for how much. I would recommend have it no more than 1-2 points away.

This way you can also find young talents for your team.

I'm gonna use this tactic for the achievement "French Hero"! Let's see if it can last the whole 4-5 seasons :D
 
Heh...this formation is so versatile. 20-25 squad is enough, because my players are so **** versatile. The only thing that i bought are central defenders.

Can someone explosion how you get your team to train more than one tactic?
when one of my coaches recomends me to train more than one tactic I get The option to add other tactics to be trainee but I cant choose any from The download section, only tactics that either ive created or The default ones.
